Jellied pie with apples in the oven
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to bake jellied pie with apples in the oven? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. First melt the butter and cool to room temperature. Take large, selected eggs. If the eggs are small, take 3 pieces. Wash the eggs with baking soda first, as there may be harmful bacteria on their surface. Use premium flour.
STEP 2
Combine the eggs with sugar in a deep bowl (so as not to stain the work surface) and beat with a mixer until a fluffy light mass is obtained. You can beat with a whisk rather than a mixer, but it will take more time. In addition to regular sugar, you can add another 1 tsp. vanilla sugar or a pinch of vanillin. A larger amount of vanillin can add bitterness to the finished dish.
STEP 3
Pour room temperature kefir and melted butter into the beaten eggs. Beat everything again until smooth.
STEP 4
Add the flour sifted with soda and salt in parts. Depending on the fat content and moisture content of the kefir, the size of the eggs, and flour, you may need less or more. Therefore, you should not pour all the flour into the dough at once.
STEP 5
Mix the dough with a mixer at low speed. The dough should be viscous but fluid.
STEP 6
Wash the apples under running water, dry, peel and remove the core. Take the apples juicy, sweet and sour. I prefer the green-skinned varieties Granny Smith and Simerinka - they are juicy, tasty and do not darken for a long time.
STEP 7
Cut the pulp into small thin slices. If you wish, you can sprinkle the apples with lemon juice, this will preserve their color and prevent them from darkening.
STEP 8
Place apple slices into batter.
STEP 9
Gently stir the apples into the batter.
STEP 10
Line a baking dish (Ø 20-22 cm) with parchment and grease with butter. Place the dough with apple slices. Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 40 minutes until golden brown. If the top is browned and the dough is not yet ready, cover the pan with a double sheet of foil. Check the readiness of the dough with a skewer. Leave the finished pie in the cooling oven with the door ajar for another 10 minutes. Cooking times are approximate.
STEP 11
Transfer the finished pie to a dish, cool slightly, sprinkle with powdered sugar, cut into pieces and serve. Bon appetit!
