  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make charlotte with milk and apples? Prepare all the necessary products. The variety of apples can be any to your taste. If you prefer more sour varieties, Antonovka or Bogatyr are suitable for you - these are usually green apples. If you like it sweeter, then take red apples. Take premium or first grade flour. Wash the eggs and dry with napkins.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Pour the milk into a suitable sized bowl. Beat the eggs into the milk. The milk can be of any fat content to suit your taste; plant-based milk is also suitable. Lightly whisk the milk-egg mixture with a whisk or fork.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour vegetable oil into the egg-milk mixture. Use any oil, without a pronounced odor, refined.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add sugar to the mixture. For flavor, you can add a bag of vanilla sugar or a pinch of vanillin to regular sugar. Also, if you prefer spicy and aromatic baked goods, ground cinnamon and ginger would be quite appropriate - add a pinch of these spices.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Now it's time for flour and baking powder. For baking, I always recommend sifting the flour - during this process it is saturated with oxygen and the finished baked goods are more airy. So don’t be lazy and use a sieve. Please note that you may need more or less flour than I did. Focus on the consistency of the dough.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

The consistency of the dough should be quite liquid, like low-fat sour cream. Do not add all the flour at once. Mix the dough well so that there are no lumps. In order not to make a mistake with the amount of flour, first sift 2/3 of the flour, mix it with all the baking powder, add it to the dough, and adjust the rest of the flour up or down, based on the consistency.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Wash the apples well. It is up to you to peel the apples or not. Remove the seed capsule from the apples and cut into thin slices.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Add chopped apples to the dough and stir.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Prepare a heat-resistant pan in which to bake the cake. If you have a pan that baked goods tend to stick to, grease it with a little vegetable oil. I like to bake this charlotte in a low, wide pan - this way it is better baked inside. Place the dough with apples. Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for about 30 minutes, but use your oven as a guide. The center of the pie should be quite dense.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Let's prepare the filling: you can do it or not, as you wish. If you are baking the pie without filling, simply add about 10 minutes to the baking time in step 9 and bring until done. To fill, break an egg into a separate bowl and add sugar.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Melt the butter, cool until warm (to prevent the egg from curdling), add the melted butter to the container with the egg.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Mix the filling well until the sugar dissolves.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Remove the almost finished pie from the oven, pour the egg-butter mixture on top of it and bake for about 10 more minutes at 180-200 degrees.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Let the finished cake stand in the mold for about 10 minutes at room temperature, and then remove from the mold. The pie can be served warm or chilled: this way it cuts better and keeps its shape. Bon appetit!

I took a wide pie pan, so the charlotte ended up not being tall, but everything was baked perfectly. The pie is richly apple, aromatic, juicy. The dough is very soft, pleasant texture. I haven’t made a filling for charlotte before, I liked it, it tasted sweet and creamy. The pie bakes quickly, so it's a good option when guests are on the doorstep. By the way, after cooling in the refrigerator, the charlotte became even tastier!

It turned out tastier than I expected. The more apples you add, the wetter the dough will be. And even after cooking it goes down. I concluded for myself that it is better to make the dough thicker, otherwise, if it is like water, then it will be very, very soft and fragile. So cook to your taste. I baked Charlotte with milk and apples for the first time

Great recipe. It turned out to be a delicious pie. A good alternative to the classic charlotte. But next time I’ll put less sugar and won’t add it to the filling at all (butter is already a little sweet).

Great recipe!! Why am I so bad at baking, nothing always works out. And here I measured everything according to the recipe. The only thing is that I put in not 80, but 50 grams of sugar, and didn’t add it to the filling at all. It turned out very tasty, the kind with impregnation inside. I will do it again and recommend it to my friends.
