Lavash pie with cabbage

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make lavash pie with cabbage in the oven? Prepare the indicated products. The base of the pie will be made from lavash, so you need to take thin lavash, if possible 2 - 3 sheets or one long one, but which can be cut. I have 20% fat sour cream, C1 eggs. Cooking time for the filling will vary depending on the maturity of the cabbage. Prepare a frying pan and a baking dish with medium-high sides.
STEP 2

To prepare the pie filling, peel and chop the carrots and onions. Heat the oil in a frying pan and lightly fry the onions and carrots. Chop the cabbage thinly and add to the pan with the vegetables. Simmer the cabbage, covered, stirring constantly, until cooked. At the end of cooking the cabbage, add salt to taste. You need to constantly keep an eye on the cabbage so that it does not burn, because the appearance of the entire pie will depend on the cabbage.
STEP 3

For the pie you need 2 - 3 sheets of pita bread. If the pita bread is long, then it should be cut into equal rectangles. If the pita bread is already in sheets, then identical sheets should also be made from them. Place cabbage on the sheet and place the next sheet of pita bread on top. Place cabbage on it as well. If the pita bread is very thin, then it is better to make a double sheet, otherwise it may tear from the juicy filling, and it may spill out when folding. Turn on the oven to 180 degrees.
STEP 4

Roll the pita bread into a roll, and then cut it into pieces slightly smaller in height than the shape in which they will be baked. Grease the shape with vegetable oil and place the chopped pita bread with cabbage in it.
STEP 5

Lightly beat the eggs, add sour cream, milk and a little salt. Whisk the mixture until smooth.
STEP 6

Pour the egg-milk mixture over the lavash pieces in the mold. Place the pie in the preheated oven for 30 - 40 minutes. The exact cooking time depends on your oven.
STEP 7

Remove the finished pie from the oven and let it cool slightly. When warm, it should be cut into portions. Bon appetit!
