Honey cake with apples and caramel

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make a honey dough pie with apples and caramel? Prepare the necessary ingredients. You can choose any apples, but strong, juicy fruits, sweet or sweet and sour, are most suitable. Wash and dry the apples well.
STEP 2

How to make caramel for pies? For us, it will first be at the bottom, which will then become the top. Take a suitable baking dish. I have it like this. Grease it with butter.
STEP 3

And sprinkle with sugar. Actually, this will be our caramel, which in the finished pie will become its top.
STEP 4

I don't peel the apples, but you can. Cut the apples into slices, removing the cores. Try to cut even and beautiful slices. The better they are, the more beautiful the pie will turn out.
STEP 5

Now place the apples beautifully in a circle on top of the sugar.
STEP 6

Sprinkle ground cinnamon on top of the apples.
STEP 7

In a separate bowl, beat 180 g sugar and 3 eggs.
STEP 8

Beat the egg mixture until stiff foam forms.
STEP 9

Add a little honey - it will give a beautiful color and aroma to our cake. If the honey is too thick, you can warm it up slightly.
STEP 10

Without stopping whisking, gradually add flour to the egg mixture. Be careful not to spray flour around. You can add it with a spoon with the mixer turned off, immerse it in the mixture, and only then beat it.
STEP 11

At the very end, add soda and mix well with a mixer.
STEP 12

The dough turns out like thick sour cream, focus on this. That is, it may take you more or less flour than it does for me.
STEP 13

Pour the dough into the baking pan; it should reach somewhere in the middle of the pan. I didn’t take this into account and it turned out too high, so subsequently my dough “ran away” a little behind the pan. But since our pie is upside down, it’s not scary this time))) Place in a cold oven at 160 degrees for 35-45 minutes, but after 20 minutes check the readiness of the pie - everyone’s oven is different.
STEP 14

My pie is ready in 45 minutes! Let the pie cool slightly.
STEP 15

Now turn the cake over onto a plate and carefully remove the pan. If you baked it in a silicone mold, like I did, then this is not difficult to do!
STEP 16

Ta-dam! The result is such beauty! Thanks to the fact that we sprinkled the mold with sugar, the top turned out to be caramel.
STEP 17

Enjoy your tea!
STEP 18

The cross-section shows how the cake turned out to be a beautiful caramel color thanks to the honey, and it smells like real caramel! Try it too!
