  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make grated apple pie? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. Shortbread dough made with butter turns out tender and crumbly. You can replace it with margarine. then the cake will be denser. Sift the flour through a sieve in advance to saturate it with oxygen. My eggs are category C1.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Place flour, sugar and baking soda into a grinder. Cut the hard butter into cubes. Add eggs. Work the dough into crumbs. The dough can also be prepared by hand. Also turn it into crumbs and mold it into a ball.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Divide the finished dough into two unequal parts, wrap it in cling film and put it in the freezer for an hour to harden.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

For the filling you need to steam the raisins. Pour boiling water over it and leave for about 5 minutes. Then drain the hot water and rinse the raisins again. Place the raisins in a sieve to drain all the water. You can dry it a little with a towel.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

You can use any heat-resistant pan for the pie. Line the bottom and sides of the pan with baking paper and grate the frozen portion of the dough onto a grater. Press the dough down a little.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Grate the apples and spread over the entire surface of the grated dough.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Then arrange the raisins. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Rub the second part of the dough on top, distributing it evenly over the entire surface. Place the pie in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 35-40 minutes. When baking, use your oven as a guide.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

The finished pie will be a delicious golden color. Remove it from the mold and cool. Enjoy your tea!

Not a single weekend is complete without a delicious aromatic pie! This time I was making grated pie with apples. Initially, I put all the necessary ingredients for the dough in a blender, but either the volume of ingredients was too large (almost up to the lid), or some other reason, but he could not unite everything into one mass. So I put everything in a bowl and kneaded the dough by hand. I divided it into two unequal parts and, as recommended, put it in the freezer for an hour. During this time, I steamed, washed and dried the raisins. The frozen dough was grated well. The thick bottom layer came out. Then apples, raisins and sprinkled with a little cinnamon. I didn’t want to sprinkle it with sugar. I rubbed the second part of the dough on top. The result was a delicious, aromatic pie with a juicy filling. I really liked it! Thanks to Yulia M for the recipe!

Hello! I prepared it according to the recipe (except for cinnamon: I didn’t add it and I didn’t add a lot of raisins). I really liked the pie, it baked well in 45 minutes. The only thing I don’t understand is why add soda. And from personal notes: after all, it’s better to knead the dough by hand; it’s not difficult, since the blender almost burned out. And instead of tatting the bottom layer, you can roll it out and make holes with a fork? It will be faster, I'll try next time...
