Easter pie

Along with the usual Easter cakes, this is a wonderful Easter dish. Easter cake is one of my favorites and you might like it too.

    Dissolve yeast, a tablespoon of sugar in warm milk, add 2 tbsp. spoons of flour.

    This is not dough yet, but dough, but it needs to rise before it becomes possible to continue our cooking. Therefore, we leave the dough while the yeast rises. We hold it for 15-30 minutes, making sure that it rises at least twice.

    Soak raisins and candied fruits. Candied fruits need to be soaked for 10 minutes to remove excess sugar and dye.

    Add salt and melted butter to some of the flour and mix.

    Then pour in the dough and knead the dough. Gradually add more flour. The main thing here is not to overdo it, so as not to get a heavy dough from excess flour. The dough should be elastic and slightly stick to your hands.

    Place the finished dough in a bowl, cover with cellophane and place in a warm place. We measure out as much time as the dough needs to rise thoroughly. Depending on conditions, this may take more than an hour.

    Grease the surface of the table with vegetable oil. Knead the risen dough. Then roll it out into a layer. Grease the dough with melted butter, sprinkle with sugar, then lay out raisins and chopped candied fruits, or nuts.

    We make cuts on the roll. Grease a baking tray with oil.

    We lay out the roll, connect the ends of the roll and pinch it well to make a ring. Cover and leave in a warm place for 20 minutes. For the remaining time, which is about 1 hour, our pie will remain in the oven and bake at 180 degrees until it is covered with an appetizing blush.

Sveta, thank you for the recipe for a delicious Easter pie. Instead of nuts, I added raisins, and I used less flour in the dough - about 3 cups. Therefore, whoever is cooking, do not add all the flour at once, add 2 cups, and then mix in more. This is important for yeast baked goods, since too much flour will result in a heavy dough and the baked goods will be dense. And to get airy baked goods, you need to gradually mix in the flour, and as soon as you feel that the dough stops sticking to your hands, it means there is enough flour.

Very beautiful pie! But I have a question: is vegetable oil only used to lubricate the table before rolling out the dough? Don't you need to put it in the dough itself? Girls - sveta, Vera, I will be very grateful for your answer.
