  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make cottage cheese casserole without eggs in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Take small semolina, or from durum wheat. Cottage cheese is not greasy, viscous, but not too much. Choose the fat content of the cottage cheese according to your preferences; you can also use low-fat.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

If the cottage cheese is dry and lumpy, it is better to punch it with a blender or rub through a sieve until smooth. In this form, the baked goods will be more uniform and tender.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Combine cottage cheese, semolina, sugar and soda in a separate bowl and mash.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Mash with a spoon or fork until completely smooth.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Cover the container with the cottage cheese with film and leave to steep for 30 minutes. During this time, the semolina will swell.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Transfer the curd mixture into a greased baking dish of the most convenient shape. Mine is oblong and narrow. You can divide the mixture into several molds to serve the casserole in portions.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Bake the casserole in a preheated oven at 180° for about 30 minutes. The exact cooking time depends only on the characteristics of your particular oven, keep this in mind. Cool the finished casserole slightly, then turn it over onto a plate. Serve with condensed milk or dessert sauce.

Today I made a cottage cheese casserole without eggs in the oven. I prepared this version for the first time, always adding eggs. I have homemade cottage cheese, but it turned out to be very dry. I added two spoons of sour cream, after which I was able to beat the cottage cheese with a blender. I took two less spoons of semolina, because the curd mass was difficult to mix. For aroma and additional taste, I decided to add tangerine zest. The top of the future casserole was greased with melted butter to create a golden brown crust. Bake for 50 minutes at 180 degrees. The cottage cheese casserole turned out to be quite loose compared to the casserole containing eggs. I wouldn't call it tender, but the consistency is very interesting, porous. I think it also depends on the cottage cheese itself. Pasty, for example, will give a different texture. And I really liked the taste of the casserole! For breakfast with tea it’s just the thing - tasty and healthy!

Little kids and older kids will love this eggless oven baked cheesecake casserole! Everyone in our family loves children's cottage cheese casserole, not just the children; we probably still haven't fully come out of our childhood. On the author's advice, I added a little cream. It turned out great, thanks!
