    Add butter to flour. Using your hands, rub the butter into the flour until crumbly. Do this quickly so that the butter does not start to melt from the heat of your hands, this will make the dough more flaky.

    Pour cream into the butter-flour mixture. Knead the dough quickly. It will be enough for all the ingredients to be mixed and the dough can be rolled into a ball.

    Wrap the dough in cling film and put it in the refrigerator for an hour.

    Prepare the ingredients for the filling. The chicken for the filling is already boiled, I use thigh fillet, you can use any part. Broccoli frozen. If the broccoli is fresh, separate it into florets.

I had been eyeing a pie with broccoli and chicken for a long time to prepare; I was attracted by the small amount of butter in the dough and the presence of broccoli in my refrigerator, which had to be used somehow. While I was preparing this pie, my broccoli lost its bright green color, but after I simmered it for a few minutes for the filling, it became more rich. Interestingly, such a pie can be prepared in several stages, then the process will not take much time: you can prepare the dough in advance and leave it in the refrigerator, you can also prepare the filling in the evening - fry onions with chicken boiled in advance. Then assembling the pie and baking it is greatly simplified. Instead of ground pepper, I added a pinch of nutmeg to the filling. Otherwise I followed the recipe. I baked the pie in a tart pan with a diameter of 24 cm, did not grease the bottom and sides with anything, and the dough did not stick to them. I was pleased with the result; it was a very tasty pie! The dough is tasty and crispy, but not at all greasy. The filling is juicy, the taste of chicken is accompanied by cabbage and onion notes, and there is also an expressive creamy cheese aroma. Delicious! Despite the fact that the pie is quite filling, I couldn’t pull myself away from it and ate 2.5 pieces at a time. Thanks for the recipe, it's now one of my favorites!
