  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to fry fish fillets in batter in a frying pan? Prepare all the necessary products. You can take any fish fillet. I have pike perch fillet. Flour can also be different and the taste of the finished dish will change depending on what flour you choose. It can be fish in rice batter, or in buckwheat batter, or in oatmeal batter. Choose oil to your taste: from cottonseed to regular sunflower.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Mix flour with salt. I recommend that you sift the flour, so the batter will be very airy and crispier. You can also add your favorite spices and seasonings to the flour mixture at this stage.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Rinse the fish fillet well, dry it, and cut it not too coarsely. There is no need to salt the fish itself, otherwise it may turn out a little dry, because salt removes water.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Beat the egg into a bowl and add a little salt. Dip each piece of fish into the egg mixture one at a time.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Dredge fish pieces in flour mixture. For a thicker batter, you can dip it again in the egg and again in the flour mixture.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Heat the vegetable oil well in a thick-bottomed frying pan. Place the breaded fish pieces and fry over low heat for about 5-7 minutes.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Then carefully turn the fish pieces over so as not to damage the batter and fry for another 5-7 minutes. The fish cooks quite quickly and usually this time is enough to bring it to full readiness. But if suddenly you have rather thick pieces of fish, it is better to repeat the frying procedure on each side for another 5-7 minutes.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

The batter turns out incredibly crispy, and the fish is juicy and tender. Serve immediately while the dish is hot. Bon appetit!

I also fry fish this way, I like it. There is an even simpler way. Fish fillet without dredging in flour, egg, breading. Simply fried in butter.

Fish in batter in a frying pan is undoubtedly delicious, but I also had caviar, and I wanted to cook it according to this recipe as well. The result was fish roe in batter. Very tasty and no less tasty than the battered fish itself. Delicious with fresh vegetables.
