Apple pie in a slow cooker

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make apple pie in a slow cooker? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Be sure to sift the flour to saturate it with oxygen. Thanks to this, the future pie will turn out fluffy and airy.
STEP 2

Melt the butter in the microwave or in a water bath.
STEP 3

Add sugar to the melted butter and beat with a mixer until smooth.
STEP 4

Wash the lemon well, scald with boiling water, dry with a paper towel. Grate the zest on a fine grater, but do not touch the white part, otherwise the baked goods will taste bitter.
STEP 5

Add sour cream, lemon zest and a tablespoon of lemon juice to the butter mixture.
STEP 6

Beat in the eggs. Beat the mixture with a mixer until it turns white and bubbles appear on the surface.
STEP 7

Mix some of the flour with baking powder and cinnamon in advance. Pour it into the dough. Mix with a spatula or mixer.
STEP 8

Add the rest of the flour little by little. Since the properties of flour differ, you may need to add more or less flour than indicated in the recipe. Focus on consistency. The dough should look like thick sour cream.
STEP 9

Prepare the apples. Rinse the fruits well, dry with paper towels and cut into slices. Place the finished filling on the bottom of the bowl. If the apples you use are sour, do not add lemon, otherwise the cake may be too sour. I chose sweet red apples for the filling; with them the pie turned out sweeter with a slight citrus sourness and aroma.
STEP 10

To prevent the cake from burning, the walls and bottom of the container must be additionally greased with butter. Add half of the chopped apples.
STEP 11

Pour in half the dough and smooth the surface with a spatula.
STEP 12

Now place the second half of the apples in a second layer.
STEP 13

Pour the remaining dough over the filling and gently smooth the surface again with a silicone spatula. Place the bowl of pie in the slow cooker. Turn on the “Baking” mode and leave for 40 minutes. It is important not to open the multicooker lid until baking is complete. Do not remove the finished pie immediately. Leave it in the slow cooker for another 10-15 minutes after baking. Then the cake will not settle and will remain fluffy. Focus on your technique - adjust the time according to it!
STEP 14

Transfer the pie to a plate. Let it cool completely. Decorate to your liking, for example, dust the top with powdered sugar or cinnamon, and place apple slices. Fresh mint leaves add an elegant touch to this simple baked treat.
STEP 15

Serve apple pie with tea, but it will also be delicious with warm milk.
