Dishes with feta
It is a bit reminiscent of Moldavian cheese - it is also preserved in salted brine, although it can also be preserved in olive oil. The difference: the Greek product is cut into rectangles, while in Moldova they form round heads. Feta is ripened in sea water, so it tastes sour-salty and piquant. The consistency is so soft and delicate that it is suitable for spreading on bread. You shouldn’t reproduce such a product yourself at home, because real feta should be exclusively Greek import, but you can make many delicious dishes from the finished ingredient. A rather unusual combination is to eat as a snack with watermelon or melon. Classic recipes with feta are a Greek salad with vegetables, olives, seasoned with olive oil. The usual set - cucumbers, sweet peppers, onions, tomatoes - in combination with a piece of cheese mass creates a very interesting taste. Note to the hostess: when serving the salad to the table, there is no need to chop the portion of feta. Just place one flat square on top of the mound and season. Then, in a plate, everyone can mix the ingredients at their own discretion.
