Upside-down apple pie with milk
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
For upside-down pie with apples, you first need to prepare the filling. For it you will need: apples, sugar, butter, honey, cinnamon, lemon juice.
STEP 2
Wash the apples, remove seeds and peel. Slice the apples into medium-thick slices. There is no need to cut thinly so that the apple slices retain their shape when preparing the filling. Sprinkle the sliced apples with lemon juice to prevent them from browning.
STEP 3
Melt butter in a frying pan, add sugar, stir.
STEP 4
Cook the mixture over moderate heat with constant stirring. You can add 2 tablespoons of water so that the sugar dissolves faster and the mass becomes homogeneous.
STEP 5
After 5-7 minutes, add honey and stir. Cook the mixture for another 3-4 minutes until a caramel color appears, remembering to stir so that the mixture does not burn.
STEP 6
Place the prepared apples in the pan and stir. It is advisable that the apples lie in one layer and are evenly covered with caramel syrup. Therefore, the pan must be the right size.
STEP 7
Cook the apples over medium heat, carefully turning them occasionally. The apples should become slightly soft but retain their shape. At the end of cooking, sprinkle the apples with cinnamon and stir. Remove the pan from the heat to allow the filling to cool.
STEP 8
To prepare the dough you will need: eggs, sugar, milk, butter, baking powder, vanillin, flour.
STEP 9
Using a mixer, beat soft butter and sugar until fluffy.
STEP 10
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
STEP 11
Pour milk into the resulting mass and mix.
STEP 12
Add flour sifted with baking powder and vanilla, mix thoroughly.
STEP 13
The dough turns out smooth, creamy consistency.
STEP 14
Meanwhile, the filling has cooled a little and the apples have been soaked in caramel syrup.
STEP 15
Place the filling along with the syrup into the mold. The mold does not need to be greased beforehand, since the filling is wet and the dough contains a sufficient amount of oil. If you have a frying pan in which you can bake in the oven, you can prepare the filling in it and bake the pie in it.
STEP 16
Place the dough on top of the filling and smooth it out.
STEP 17
Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 190 degrees for about 40 minutes until golden brown. Let the finished cake stand in the pan for 10 minutes.
STEP 18
Then turn the pie over onto a plate so that the filling is on top. Allow the baked goods to cool, cut into portions and serve. Bon appetit!
