Stewed potatoes with smoked meats

STEP 1

How to stew potatoes with smoked meats? Very simple! Prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. You can complement the dish with vegetables and spices to your liking.

Rinse the pork ribs. If you have smoked ribs in one piece, cut them into individual segments. The store often sells already cut ribs, but there is practically no meat on them.
STEP 3

Peel the potatoes and cut into medium cubes. If the potatoes are small, you can leave them whole. New potatoes are great for this dish; they need to be scraped with a knife to remove the thin outer skin.

Peel the carrots and grate on a coarse grater.
STEP 5

Cut the onion into small cubes.
STEP 6

Wash the dill, dry and finely chop. If desired, you can replace or supplement with other herbs, for example, parsley, cilantro, green onions, or use a mixture of different herbs

Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Add chopped onion and fry for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
STEP 8

Add carrots. Fry, stirring, for another 3-5 minutes.
STEP 9

Add the pork ribs to the vegetables and fry everything together for another 5 minutes.
STEP 10

Place the potatoes in the pan and stir.
STEP 11

Pour in water and add bay leaf.
STEP 12

Simmer everything under the lid for 10-12 minutes.
STEP 13

Add tomato sauce. Salt and pepper everything to taste and mix. Simmer covered for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are ready.
STEP 14

At the end, sprinkle the stewed potatoes with smoked ribs with chopped herbs and serve. Bon appetit!
