  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make a simple pie in a slow cooker? Prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. Be sure to sift the flour to saturate it with oxygen. Remove the milk from the refrigerator in advance so that it warms up to room temperature.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Beat the egg into a suitable container in which you plan to knead the dough.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Add sugar, but do not beat for long. You just need to grind it with the egg with a fork, whisk or spoon, as convenient.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Pour milk into a bowl. Mix this mixture thoroughly in the same way.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

In a separate small container, mix a little flour with baking powder, pour it into the container with the dough. Add the rest of the flour in parts and, if desired, vanilla sugar or vanillin according to the instructions.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Please note that flour has different properties, and therefore you may need more or less of it than indicated in the recipe. Focus on the consistency of the dough. It should be, like pancakes or thick sour cream, homogeneous, without lumps. Knead the dough with a silicone spatula in one direction, mixing from bottom to top.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Pour boiling water over dried apricots and raisins. Leave for 5-10 minutes to become soft. Drain and dry dried fruits with paper towels.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Cut the dried apricots into small pieces.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Add dried fruits to the dough. Mix the dough again.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

To prevent the pie from burning, grease the multicooker bowl (both the bottom and the walls) with butter and pour the dough into it. Smooth the surface of the dough with a spatula and place in the slow cooker. Turn on the multicooker to the “baking” mode. If you don't have the "bake" function, select the "multi-cook" option. In 40-50 minutes (depend on your technique) the pie will be ready. But don’t rush to take it out right away. Open the lid of the multi and wait about 10 minutes. This will allow it to cool a little and not settle.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Remove the cake using a steamer basket or flat cake plate. Decorate the baked goods to your liking. I decorated with dried fruits, candied fruits, nuts, fresh mint leaves, and sprinkled the top of the pie with powdered sugar through a strainer. You can decorate with icing, crushed nuts, poppy seeds or chocolate.

A really simple pie. A delicious version of cabbage pie. And in a slow cooker it’s easy and quick to cook.

I chose the recipe for a simple pie in a slow cooker for my second attempt at mastering baking using this miracle technique) The recipe is as simple and straightforward as possible. The dough was kneaded with baked milk. There were no raisins, I took only dried apricots, cut them into small pieces and rolled them in flour so that the pieces were better distributed in the dough. Bake for 40 minutes, then leave for 10 minutes with the lid open. The pie turned out to be quite tall, fluffy and porous. I can’t get used to the fact that in a slow cooker there is no golden brown crust on top) But I brightened up this cosmetic moment with chocolate glaze. We liked the pie itself, it is tasty, not cloying, there is a clear taste of milk. And there is no oil in it, which is good for the figure) The pie tastes best after cooling in the refrigerator.
