  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make a salad with squid and cabbage? Prepare your food. Pre-defrost the squid by transferring it from the freezer to the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. Instead of white cabbage, Chinese cabbage is also suitable. Remove the corn from the jar, draining the liquid.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Place the squid in a saucepan and cover with cold, clean water. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the water to a boil. When this happens, remove the ladle from the stove and wait until it cools. Then rinse the squid under running water - the film will be washed off very easily due to the fact that the squid has been in boiling water. Remove the entrails and chorda plate.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Dry the clean carcasses and cut them into thin strips.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Rinse the cabbage with cold water and tear off the top leaves. Also chop the head of cabbage into thin strips (the salad will look beautiful and neat if you cut all the ingredients into pieces of the same size and shape). If you are preparing a salad with white cabbage, knead it with your hands until it softens.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Rinse the green onions well and dry. Cut it into thin rings.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Place the chopped ingredients in a salad bowl and add the canned corn. Salt and pepper the salad to taste. Keep in mind that it will be seasoned with mayonnaise, do not oversalt it. Mix the ingredients.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Season the salad with mayonnaise and mix it well. Instead of mayonnaise, you can use vegetable oil with lemon juice - in this case the salad will be less calorie.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Serve the salad to the table. Bon appetit!

I decided to make a salad with squid and cabbage. I didn’t have any Chinese cabbage; I used young white cabbage. I cut it thinner and crushed it slightly. The salad is very tasty, juicy, light, despite the fact that it is seasoned with mayonnaise. Good for both the festive table and the everyday menu. Thanks for the recipe, katushafin!

The salad with squid and cabbage looks very appetizing)))) I want to try it as soon as possible)))) I love salads with seafood! I’ve tried a lot of different ones, but this is the first time I’ve come across this one! A rather unusual and interesting combination of squid and cabbage is very intriguing! I hope it tastes zesty and light AND all the ingredients in it are so healthy! It will be interesting to try to cook

Tasty! The salad turns out to be light, unusual due to the squid, not boring, and most importantly, it can be prepared quickly. By the way, I used red caviar as a “highlight” for this salad - for decoration, it turns out very unusual. And you can add young white cabbage here.
