STEP 1

How to make a winter salad with rice and vegetables? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Wash all vegetables thoroughly in running water and, if necessary, remove skins, seeds and stalks. STEP 2

Rinse the rice and boil over moderate heat for 7-10 minutes in salted water, in a ratio of rice and water 1:3
STEP 3

Rinse the boiled rice under cold water until it remains crumbly.
STEP 4

Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
STEP 5

Place carrots in a large saucepan or other convenient container (I have a large basin), pour in vegetable oil.
STEP 6

Add sugar here too.

Add some salt.

Pour in the vinegar and mix everything well.
STEP 9

Place the container on the fire and fry the carrots over medium heat, stirring for 10 minutes.

During this time, cut the onion into cubes.

Add the onion to the carrots and simmer for another 5 minutes.

During this time, cut the bell pepper into cubes.
STEP 13

Add the pepper to the vegetables, stir and continue to simmer for another 5 minutes.

Roughly chop the tomatoes.
STEP 15

Add the tomatoes to the remaining vegetables, stir and simmer for another 5 minutes.
STEP 16

Add boiled rice to the vegetables, stir.
STEP 17

Simmer everything together for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
STEP 18

Wash the jars of soda, place them upside down in a cold oven, preheat the oven to 150°C and sterilize the jars 0.5 l -10 min, 1 l -15 min. Wash the lids and boil. You can sterilize the jars in another convenient and proven way, for example, by steaming or in the microwave. Place the prepared salad in the jars and roll up the lid. Turn it upside down, wrap it in a blanket and let it cool completely.
STEP 19

From these ingredients I got 10 half-liter jars or 5 liter jars. Store the salad with rice and vegetables in a cool place for the winter.
