  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make a quick jellied pie in the oven with cabbage? Start by preparing the filling. Prepare all the ingredients listed in the recipe. It is better to use young cabbage, but old cabbage will do, you just need to simmer it a little until soft in a frying pan. Wash the chicken eggs thoroughly and hard-boil them, cover them with cold water.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the cabbage and remove the top leaves. Chop or thinly slice with a knife.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Place the shredded cabbage in a dry frying pan and fry over low heat. Stir constantly to prevent burning. Transfer the fried cabbage to a suitable container and while it cools, prepare the remaining ingredients for the filling.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Peel the cooled chicken eggs from their shells. Cut into small cubes with a knife.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

I use dill and parsley for the filling; fresh cilantro and thyme are also suitable. Wash the greens, dry them with paper towels and chop them.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Mix cabbage, chicken eggs and chopped herbs in a container. Salt and pepper to taste. Mix well. The filling is ready!

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

How to make dough for jellied pie with cabbage? Measure out all the necessary ingredients. Remove kefir, sour cream and chicken eggs from the refrigerator in advance so that they have time to warm up to room temperature. Be sure to sift the flour to saturate it with oxygen. Thanks to this, future baked goods will be fluffy and airy.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Melt the butter in the microwave or in a water bath. Mix it in a suitable container with kefir and sour cream. Add salt, sugar (or a sweetener that is not afraid of heat treatment). Stir with a fork or whisk until smooth.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

In a separate container, beat the eggs with a mixer until bubbles appear on the surface.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Carefully pour the beaten eggs into the kefir-oil mixture. Mix with a mixer until smooth. Смешайте с частью муки разрыхлитель и добавьте в тесто. Stir. Всыпьте по частям остальную муку и продолжайте, перемешивать. Since flour differs in its properties, you may need more or less of it than indicated in the recipe. Focus on your desired consistency. The dough should turn out like thick sour cream.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

I baked in a round heat-resistant glass pan (diameter 22 cm), but you can use ceramic or silicone. Grease the bottom and sides of the pan with a piece of butter. The bottom can be sprinkled with breadcrumbs to prevent the cake from sticking. pour half the dough and smooth the surface with a silicone spatula. Place cabbage filling on top. Distribute it over the entire surface.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Pour in the rest of the dough, making sure to cover all the filling well. Smooth the surface with a spatula. Sprinkle black and white sesame seeds on top. Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for about 30 minutes. Check readiness with a wooden skewer. pierce the pastry with it in several places; if it comes out dry without sticking dough, it’s ready.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Remove the finished pie from the oven. Let it cool a little. Now you can remove the product. Serve with salad, herbs, vegetables. Jellied cabbage pie is equally delicious hot or cold.

I really love jellied pies with cabbage, but I don’t have a favorite recipe, because each time I focus not on any recipe, but on the availability of products in the refrigerator (kefir, mayonnaise or sour cream). So this time I prepared a “quick jellied pie in the oven with cabbage” based on the fact that it was necessary to use the remains of kefir and low-fat sour cream. My cabbage was juicy, ripe, autumnal, even somewhat sweet in taste, very successful. I fried the shredded cabbage in a dry frying pan, as written in the recipe (only I managed not to fry it, but to slightly “simmer” it), after which it became softer and more pliable. In addition to parsley, I added green onions, oregano to the filling, and instead of black pepper, a little paprika. Great filling! Very tasty with a boiled egg and herbs! The dough for this recipe was also not difficult to make, the main thing is to focus on its consistency when adding flour - it should not be thick, but not very liquid, and slowly slide off the spoon like a ribbon. I sprinkled the pie with flax seeds and baked it in the oven until a beautiful golden color. It turned out aromatic and so tasty that it was impossible to tear yourself away. Thanks for the recipe!
