STEP 1
How to bake pies with cabbage and meat in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients for the dough. Heat the milk and water to 36-40 degrees. It should be warm, but not scalding. In milk that is too hot, the yeast will die, but in cold milk it will not activate.
STEP 2
Combine warm milk and warm water in a separate container.
STEP 3
Pour sugar into a container with milk and water.
STEP 4
Add fresh compressed yeast.
STEP 5
Add flour to the remaining ingredients.
STEP 6
Mix all ingredients well in a container and set aside for 10-15 minutes to activate the yeast.
STEP 7
Prepare the necessary ingredients for the dough. Beat a chicken egg into a large bowl.
STEP 8
Pour salt into a bowl with the egg.
STEP 9
While whisking the salt and egg, pour two tablespoons of vegetable oil into the bowl.
STEP 10
Pour the risen dough into the bowl with the egg mixture and stir everything together.
STEP 11
Sift half of the flour into the liquid ingredients. Thanks to sifting, the flour will be saturated with oxygen, and the dough will be more tender and the finished pies will be more fluffier.

Sift the baking powder together with the flour. With it, the dough will turn out fluffier, and the finished buns will remain soft longer.
STEP 13
Start kneading the dough with a whisk or spoon. Add sifted flour to the dough in parts. You may need a little more or a little less than the specified amount.

When the dough comes together, continue kneading with your hands.
STEP 15
The dough will stick a little to your hands. Place it on a floured table and knead well.

Add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil to the dough and continue kneading. There is no need to add any more flour. If the dough continues to stick to your hands, add more vegetable oil.

Gather the dough into a ball, put it in a bowl, remove it, cover it with a towel, and leave it to rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.

Prepare the necessary ingredients for the filling. You can choose any minced meat: chicken, pork, beef. I have minced pork, beef and turkey. Please note that the ratio of minced meat to vegetables is 1:2. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan with a thick bottom, then add the minced meat and start frying it over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
STEP 19
While the onion is frying, peel the onion and chop finely. To prevent the onion from stinging your eyes when slicing, rinse it and the knife with cold water.

Place the chopped onion in the frying pan with the minced meat, stir and continue frying everything together.
STEP 21
Wash the carrots, peel and grate on a coarse grater.
STEP 22
Place the grated carrots in the pan with the remaining ingredients.

Mix everything and continue frying.

Wash the cabbage, remove the top leaves (they are often spoiled and wilted) and finely chop.
STEP 25
Place the shredded cabbage in the pan and, stirring, continue to fry everything.
STEP 26
Add salt to taste to the pan and mix all ingredients.

Cover the pan with a lid and, reducing the heat, continue cooking the filling for another 10-15 minutes.

After the specified time, add spices to the filling, mix everything, cover the pan with a lid and turn off the heat.
STEP 29
Check the dough after an hour. It should increase 2-2.5 times. Grease the work surface with a small amount of vegetable oil, lay out the dough and knead it again.

Divide the dough into equal pieces, make balls out of them and cover them with a towel for 15-20 minutes.
STEP 31
After time has passed, grease your hands with vegetable oil and make a cake of the required size from each bun.
STEP 32
Place the required amount of filling on the tortillas.
STEP 33
Bring the edges of each tortilla together to form a patty.
STEP 34
Place the formed pies on a baking sheet, cover them with a towel and leave to proof for 15-20 minutes. Turn the oven on 180 degrees.
STEP 35
After time has passed, brush the pies with beaten chicken egg and place them in a preheated oven. While the pies are baking, melt the butter in the microwave or in a water bath.
STEP 36
Bake the pies for 25-30 minutes. The exact time depends on the power of your oven. Brush the finished pies with melted butter.
