Yeast pies with apples in the oven
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
If you have a weakness for sweet pastries, then this recipe is just for you. From it you will learn how to bake yeast pies with apples in the oven. We take all the products we need for the dough and filling. Choose tasty apples, I like sweet and sour ones, but you can choose sour or sweet varieties - to suit your taste.
STEP 2
First, wash and cut the apples, removing the core. Then melt the butter in a frying pan, then add sugar, mix everything and add the apples. Reducing the heat as much as possible, boil the apples for about 5-7 minutes. Then remove the mixture from the heat and let it cool. The amount of sugar in the filling can be adjusted depending on the type of apple chosen.
STEP 3
Sift 2/3 of the flour into a bowl, add salt and sugar, and beat in the eggs. We make a dough of warm milk, yeast and sugar in a separate container and put it in a warm place. Fermented yeast (after about 15 minutes) is sent to the flour and knead the dough well. At this stage you can add the remaining third of the flour. Please note that you may need a little more or less flour than indicated in the recipe. Focus on consistency: the dough should be soft and pliable.
STEP 4
Place the dough in a warm place to rise. As soon as it increases 2-3 times in volume, knead again. And we repeat this procedure a couple more times, and then knead it well again. Divide the dough into equal pieces. Roll out each piece with a rolling pin or knead it with your hands into a flat cake, let them rise a little.
STEP 5
Place the apple filling in the center of each cake and, bringing the edges together, form a pie. I advise you to place the filling in turn on each flatbread and immediately make a pie, tightly pinching the edges so that the filling does not leak out.
STEP 6
Place the finished pies on a greased baking sheet and let them rise a little.
STEP 7
After increasing in size, brush the pies with egg yolk. Let them bake now in an oven preheated to 200 degrees. We bake for about half an hour.
STEP 8
The finished pies turn out fluffy, with a golden shiny crust. Help yourself! Bon appetit!
