Minced pork and beef cutlets with lard and black bread

Cutlets made from mixed minced meat are more juicy and satisfying, with a rich taste! I love cutlets both to cook and to eat. If you read the ingredients, you were probably surprised that I threw both potatoes and cabbage in there. The first helps the minced meat stick together and the cabbage gives it softness and airiness. Let's start from the very beginning.

I really love cutlets, both eating and cooking. If you put some kind of filling inside: a piece of cheese or mushrooms fried with onions, it will turn out even tastier. Great recipe, but about the cabbage, I have to try it.

This is the first time I’ve heard of cabbage being added to cutlets. Interesting to try. Why do you soak black rye bread in milk? Usually white is used for this.

Lyuba, try it with black bread, you will feel the difference yourself. I was just on a diet, and then I began to exclude from my recipes everything that could affect my weight. Unfortunately, I can’t refuse cutlets, so I replaced (as an experiment) white bread with black bread. I liked the result, so now I often put rye bread in the minced meat. And you can see some more interesting tips from the chef

All this is great, of course... But why spoil the meat with bread, cabbage, potatoes, parsley and mayonnaise. All this is from the evil one. The correct recipe is this: grind meat, add onions and garlic. You don’t need to add lard; pork contains enough of it. Salt, pepper, add egg, mix. Next, the most important thing is that you need to hit the minced meat thoroughly on the table 2-3 times. Then it will keep its shape perfectly. Form, roll in flour and fry. Enjoy!

Great recipe. And thanks to cabbage and potatoes, you will get more cutlets, and they will last longer. Meat is expensive these days. So you’ll have to try making these cutlets. My mother also puts potatoes in her cutlets, but I’ve never heard of cabbage. So I'll use your recipe.

Very similar to lazy cabbage rolls. Instead of cabbage, you can use zucchini after the meat grinder. They turn out fragrant and juicy. You can go overboard with cheese...

A very interesting recipe for cutlets! My mother always added potatoes to cutlets and they always turned out juicy, tasty and fluffy. She grated the potatoes on a fine grater, added black bread soaked in water. Pork meat, if lean, then added lard. We are children , we ate them with gravy prepared by my mother and mashed potatoes. I remember those cutlets from childhood and tried to cook them as she did, but hers were still tastier! I add cabbage to lazy cabbage rolls, but I can’t even imagine the taste of such cutlets, but for the sake of experimenting, I’ll definitely cook it with cabbage and potatoes.
