Stuffed cabbage rolls with minced meat in the oven in tomato sauce

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make cabbage rolls with minced meat in the oven in tomato sauce? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Minced meat, it is better to take pork or assorted. You can use any spices to suit your taste.
STEP 2

Wash the head of cabbage, remove the top damaged leaves and cut out the stalk.
STEP 3

Place a whole head of cabbage in a saucepan and fill it with water. Place the pot of cabbage on the stove and bring the water to a boil.
STEP 4

Prepare the rice at the same time as the cabbage. Place the rice in a saucepan and rinse well in several waters. Pour a glass of water over the rice and cook until the water boils over medium heat without a lid. If you want to choose the right rice for cabbage rolls, I recommend reading the article about the intricacies of choosing rice. The link is at the end of the recipe.
STEP 5

Peel the onion and cut into small cubes.
STEP 6

Pour the onion into a preheated frying pan with 1 tbsp. l. vegetable oil, add spices and fry over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
STEP 7

Remove the boiled rice from the heat and let it cool slightly.
STEP 8

Also remove the fried onion with spices from the heat and leave for 10 minutes to cool slightly.
STEP 9

Combine rice and onions together in a bowl.
STEP 10

Place the minced meat and salt in a bowl with the rice and onions. Since everyone has different tastes, add salt based on your taste, I added 1 tsp. salt.
STEP 11

Mix the stuffing for cabbage rolls well.
STEP 12

Cook the cabbage over low heat; while cooking, remove the leaves one at a time with a fork, which have cooked until slightly transparent and become plastic.
STEP 13

Cut off thickened veins from boiled cabbage leaves.
STEP 14

Place a tablespoon of minced meat on each prepared cabbage leaf.
STEP 15

Roll the minced meat into cabbage leaves and tuck the ends inside. So form all the cabbage rolls.
STEP 16

Line a baking dish with the remaining cabbage leaves.
STEP 17

Place the formed cabbage rolls in the prepared pan.
STEP 18

Sprinkle cabbage rolls with 1 tsp. salt, add tomato sauce and two glasses of water.
STEP 19

Cover the form with cabbage rolls tightly with foil.
STEP 20

Place the pan with cabbage rolls in an oven preheated to 180°C and bake for about 40 minutes. Your baking time and temperature may vary. You can read more about the operating features of ovens in the article about ovens. The link is at the end of the recipe.
STEP 21

After 40 minutes, remove the pan from the oven and remove the foil.
STEP 22

Grease the cabbage rolls with vegetable oil.
STEP 23

Return the pan with the cabbage rolls to the oven and bake for about 20 minutes more.
STEP 24

Bake the cabbage rolls until lightly browned.
STEP 25

Remove the pan of cabbage rolls in tomato sauce from the oven, let them cool slightly and serve while still hot.
