    How to make Kohlrabi Salad? Prepare the main ingredients for the salad. Peel the carrots and onions. For salad, it is better to use shallots or white lettuce onions.

    Place the potatoes and eggs in a saucepan, cover with cold water and place over high heat. After boiling, reduce the heat to medium and cook under a half-closed lid for about 15 minutes (until the potatoes are cooked). After cooking, drain the water from the pan and leave the potatoes and eggs to cool.

    After the potatoes have cooled completely, peel them. Grate on a coarse grater and place as the first layer in a serving salad ring. The recipe used a ring with a diameter of 16 cm. Salt and grease with a small layer of mayonnaise.

    Cut the onion (shallot was used in the recipe) in half and chop each half finely. Place in a second layer over the potatoes in a serving ring.

    Peel the kohlrabi and grate on a coarse grater. Squeeze out excess juice with your hands (not too much, otherwise the salad will turn out a little dry), then sprinkle with freshly squeezed lemon juice and mix well. Place the cabbage in the next, third layer and lightly salt. Lubricate with a small amount of mayonnaise.

    Grate the carrots and place in the fourth layer and also grease with mayonnaise.

    Peel the apples and grate them on a coarse grater, immediately sprinkle with freshly squeezed lemon juice and stir. This will not make the apples darken and will look more appetizing in a salad. Squeeze out excess juice with your hands. Place the apples in the next layer and brush with mayonnaise.

    Peel the eggs. Grate two eggs on a coarse grater and distribute evenly in the final layer in the salad.

    Lightly salt and again carefully grease everything with a small amount of mayonnaise. Place the salad in the refrigerator for a while so that it is well soaked in mayonnaise and cools.

    Remove the serving ring before serving. Grate the remaining egg on a fine grater over the salad. Garnish with herbs if desired and serve.
