Kefir pie in the oven with cabbage

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to bake a kefir pie with cabbage? Let's prepare the ingredients according to the list. Let's start with the filling. If the white cabbage is young and juicy, just cut from the garden, then it does not even need to be subjected to heat treatment; when baked in the dough, the filling will become very soft and tender, it is not even immediately clear that it is cabbage.
STEP 2

We peel the cabbage from the top leaves, chop it very finely with a knife or grate it. Add salt to the bowl with cabbage, mash it with your hands so that the cabbage releases juice. Set the bowl of cabbage aside.
STEP 3

In the meantime, prepare the dough. The process is so simple and fast that even the youngest housewife can handle it. Beat chicken eggs into a bowl, pour in kefir at room temperature (it’s better to take thicker kefir, I have 3.2%) and vegetable oil, add salt and half a teaspoon of baking soda.
STEP 4

Using a mixer or hand whisk, mix the ingredients until the mixture is homogeneous in consistency.
STEP 5

Pour the sifted wheat flour into the bowl with the liquid. Using a whisk or mixer, mix the ingredients again, carefully so that the flour does not fly out of the bowl. The dough should have the consistency of thick sour cream.
STEP 6

Place the cabbage filling into the bowl with the dough. The juice remaining in the bowl from the cabbage should not be poured into the dough, so as not to make it too wet, otherwise the pie may not bake well.
STEP 7

Mix the dough with cabbage well. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Grease the pan (bottom and sides) for baking the pie with butter and sprinkle with semolina or flour. Place the dough with cabbage in the mold.
STEP 8

We send the form with the pie preparation to the oven. Bake the pie for about 45 minutes. You need to focus on the operation of your oven, the volume of the mold and dough; you can check the readiness of the pie with a wooden toothpick; it should come out dry.
STEP 9

Remove the rosy pie from the oven, let it cool slightly and serve with tea, coffee or milk. Bon appetit!
