Herring under an unusual fur coat on the festive table

Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
We prepare the necessary products and spices to prepare delicious herring under an unusual fur coat.
STEP 2
Pour ten grams of powdered gelatin into a bowl and pour seventy milliliters of cold boiled water into it, then stir and set aside to swell for fifteen to twenty minutes.
STEP 3
Grate three hundred grams of boiled potatoes and three hundred grams of boiled beets into a plate on a fine grater.
STEP 4
Dissolve the swollen gelatin in the microwave or in a water bath.
STEP 5
Add one tablespoon of mayonnaise to the bowl with gelatin.
STEP 6
Mix gelatin with mayonnaise until smooth.
STEP 7
Place the resulting gelatin mass in a bowl with four tablespoons of mayonnaise and mix until smooth.
STEP 8
Place finely chopped dill to taste in a bowl and mix well.
STEP 9
Place the grated vegetables in a bowl and add black pepper to taste.
STEP 10
Mix all ingredients in a bowl until smooth.
STEP 11
Pour finely chopped dill into the molds to taste, then put a little of the prepared vegetable mixture into each.
STEP 12
Place two pieces of herring fillet on the vegetable mixture in the ramekins.
STEP 13
Cover the herring pieces with the vegetable mixture and spread it into an even layer.
STEP 14
Cut one onion into half rings and place it in a small bowl, then pour one teaspoon of salt and one teaspoon of sugar into it.
STEP 15
Pour boiling water over the onions in a bowl.
STEP 16
Add one teaspoon of 70% vinegar essence to the bowl with the onions and stir, cover with a plate and set aside for twenty minutes.
STEP 17
Place the molds filled with salad in the refrigerator for one hour, or in the freezer for fifteen minutes.
STEP 18
After a while, put pickled onions with chopped lemon slices on plates, then a portioned salad from molds, which we decorate on top to taste with finely diced bell pepper, dill and red caviar.
