STEP 1
How to make a herring under a carrot coat? First of all, prepare all the necessary products. Wash the potatoes thoroughly with a sponge or brush and boil in their skins until tender. Drain the boiling water and cool the tubers. It is better to use lightly salted herring fillet, it will make the salad tastier.
STEP 2
So, peel the onions and carrots and rinse in cold water. Wash the champignons and dry them with paper napkins.
STEP 3
Cut each mushroom in half, and then chop each half into thin slices.
STEP 4
Chop the onion as finely as possible, and grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
STEP 5
Peel the cooled potatoes and grate them on a coarse grater.
STEP 6
Heat 10-20 grams of vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the champignons. Add a pinch of salt. Cook until the mushrooms have a golden hue. A minute before the end of frying, I added just a little finely chopped onion, so the mushrooms, in my opinion, turn out tastier and more aromatic.
STEP 7
Place the champignons in a separate container and, if necessary, add a little more vegetable oil to the pan. Send the onions and carrots to fry.
STEP 8
Cut the herring fillet into small cubes. If there are small seeds, remove them.
STEP 9
All that remains is to assemble the salad. This can be done using a serving ring or a salad bowl with a wide, large bottom. Place potatoes as the first layer.
STEP 10
Spread with enough mayonnaise. If you use too little mayonnaise, the salad will turn out dry. Next, add the herring.
STEP 11
The next layer is mayonnaise and fried champignons.
STEP 12
Lubricate the champignons with mayonnaise and add the last layer of fried carrots and onions. Decorate the salad to your taste and place it in the refrigerator to steep for a while.
