Fish cutlets in a slow cooker

Very tender and juicy fish cutlets. Impossible to tear yourself away! I got the idea for making these cutlets from the American culinary show Cooking Perfectly. In general, the show is interesting, after each episode I take note of 2-3 dishes. And finally it was the turn of the fish cutlets. This recipe differs from the usual recipe in that it contains mashed potatoes. I later saw Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver use this technique. How can you pass by here?)

    STEP 1

How to make fish cutlets in a slow cooker? Prepare your ingredients. You can use absolutely any fish. Read about the features of cooking in a slow cooker in the article at the end of this recipe.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

If the fish is frozen, defrost it. Rinse, peel, remove skin and bones.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pass mashed potatoes, fish fillets, onions, and garlic through a meat grinder. The minced meat will be very light and airy.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add the egg to the minced meat and mix with a fork.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Season to taste. Basil and rosemary (in small quantities) also go well with fish. Mix thoroughly so that the spices are evenly distributed.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

    Add chopped herbs.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Stir again and leave to rest for 10 minutes. In the meantime, turn on the multicooker in frying or baking mode and pour in oil at the rate of 0.5 tbsp. for 1 cutlet.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Divide the minced meat into 8 parts, form 8 cutlets, roll in breadcrumbs and place in a multicooker bowl.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

When the cutlets are browned on one side, turn them over and close the lid. Fish cutlets cook very quickly, but I fried them for a total of about 15 minutes on both sides, because... I wanted to get a golden brown crust. All slow cookers work differently, so your cooking time may vary.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

The result was the most tender, flavorful cutlets. Everyone asked for more. Bon appetit.

There is an option for steaming fish cutlets in a slow cooker. They turn out very juicy and tasty.

I prepared fish cutlets in a slow cooker. Instead of cod, I used the most common pollock. I boiled two peeled potatoes in salted water until tender and then passed them through a meat grinder. I also used a meat grinder to grind fish fillets, onions and garlic. Added salt, pepper, paprika, green onions and dill, and an egg beaten until smooth. The minced meat turned out soft, the cutlets formed well. Rolled in homemade breadcrumbs. When frying, the cutlets keep their shape perfectly. I really liked the cutlets, very tasty, tender, appetizing. Thank you very much for the recipe, znlena! I served the cutlets with fish cutlet sauce (I found the recipe here on the website)))

Hello! I don’t understand what exactly you added to the minced mashed potatoes or just boiled potatoes?

Thank you! It’s just that the recipe says two potatoes... So it’s not clear!
