  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make Fairy Tale salad with chicken and champignons? Prepare the following ingredients. Boil the chicken breast in advance until cooked and cool. Wash the carrots, potatoes and eggs and also pre-boil them until tender, cool completely and peel. Instead of pickled cucumbers, you can take salted ones, but not very watery ones. You can make mayonnaise at home, it will be tastier and healthier. At the end of the recipe you will find a link to homemade mayonnaise recipes.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Rinse fresh champignons under running cold water to remove any remaining soil and debris. Chop the mushrooms not very large. Peel and chop the onions. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan, add the chopped champignons and onions, fry them over medium heat without a lid until tender, stirring constantly. At the end of cooking, add salt. Cool the finished fried mushrooms. Instead of fresh champignons, you can use frozen ones.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

I will prepare the salad on portioned plates using a serving ring. Place the ring on the plate and place the boiled potatoes grated on a coarse grater into it, lightly pressing with a spoon and spreading in a dense layer along the bottom of the plate. Coat this layer with mayonnaise or make a mayonnaise mesh. You can also add salt to the potatoes if necessary, but for my taste the salt from the mayonnaise will be enough.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Cut the pickled cucumbers into small cubes and place in the next layer in the salad. Also pressing them lightly. Spread this layer with a small amount of mayonnaise.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Place the fried and cooled champignons with onions in the next layer in the salad on top of the cucumbers and coat with mayonnaise.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Cut the boiled chicken breast into small cubes or disassemble into short fibers and place on top of the layer with mushrooms. Spread with a small amount of mayonnaise.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Grate the boiled peeled carrots on a coarse grater. Place the next layer in the salad and coat with mayonnaise.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Divide cooled, shelled chicken eggs into yolk and white. Grate the yolk on a fine grater as the last layer into the salad. Protein is not used for salad.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Before serving, let the finished salad stand in the refrigerator for at least an hour so that the layers are well soaked. You can decorate the salad to your liking - mushrooms, fresh herbs, vegetables. I decorated the salad with fried whole champignons and fresh herbs.

Layered salad Fairy Tale with chicken and champignons, it turned out delicious and beautiful. I made it in a Ø16cm ring, the amount of ingredients and method of preparation according to the recipe. I added salt when cooking chicken breast and frying champignons and onions. I didn’t add any salt when laying out the layers. The layer of champignons with onions well complemented the layer of pickled cucumbers, and the potatoes absorbed the released brine from the cucumbers. Great combination of products!
