It is better to take vegetable oil special for frying. Take medium-sized potatoes, the tubers are smooth and oval. I used new potatoes, but any other potato will do.

    Country-style potatoes are cooked with the skins on. Therefore, it is necessary to rinse the potatoes very thoroughly and rub them with a brush. If there is a lot of stuck soil on the peel that is difficult to clean, fill the potatoes with water and leave to soak for 30 minutes. After this, the dirt can be easily cleaned off.

    Cut each potato lengthwise into 4 slices. It is better to use special varieties of potatoes intended for frying. Inside, such potatoes have yellowish flesh and little starch. If you see that your vegetables contain a lot of starch, then it is better to rinse such potatoes with water to wash off the starch from the surface.

It took me about 20 minutes to fry.

Country-style fried potatoes in a frying pan are one of my favorite dishes. We call it “in the village way.” I prepared potatoes using this recipe. I chose medium-sized tubers as recommended by the author, washed them thoroughly with a brush and cut the potatoes in their skins into 4 parts. From the spices I put turmeric, paprika, salt and freshly ground pepper. I fried the potatoes in odorless oil over medium heat at first, then turned it down to low and cooked with the lid on until the potatoes were baked. I fried it for about 25 minutes in total. The aroma is excellent! The potato wedges in spices turned out rosy, soft and aromatic. Crispy crust on top and tender potatoes inside. I served country-style potatoes with pickled tomatoes, the perfect combination. The recipe is great! Many thanks to the author 😊
