Sweet Chinese sauces in combination with vegetables, meat, poultry, and fish appeal to different categories of consumers. The proposed recipe is good both on its own and as a side dish for fried chicken and pork. Any meat or fish stewed in this sauce is delicious.

    How to cook eggplant in Chinese? First, prepare everything you need. Take strong eggplants with whole skin. Bell pepper - juicy, sweet. I have it red, but you can take any color. Before slicing, wash vegetables with a brush in running water.

    Cut the eggplants (I don’t peel them) into medium-sized cubes (about 1x1 cm).

    Add salt to the eggplants, stir and let stand for a while. Then rinse under the tap and squeeze the water out of the eggplants.

    Cut the sweet pepper into strips. Fry it in a frying pan with heated sunflower oil, stirring constantly and making sure not to overcook. As soon as a crust begins to appear, remove from heat.

    Place the roasted peppers in a separate saucepan (I used tempered glass).

    Grate the ginger root on a fine grater, you can take the squeezed juice, you can add the completely grated root, there are no special instructions for this dish specifically.

    Fry the eggplants in the same pan with oil until the color changes. They should become soft. Stir while frying. Then add the fried eggplant to the peppers.

    In the same frying pan where the peppers and eggplants were fried, prepare the sauce from the remaining ingredients: first fry the garlic cut into petals, add ginger, soy sauce, honey, starch. Stir. At the end, dilute everything with water and boil for 2 minutes.

    Pour the sauce into the roasted vegetables into a saucepan and simmer everything together over low heat for about 7 minutes, stirring.

    Serve the Chinese sweet eggplant hot right away. Although they are also very good cold!

I made Chinese sweet eggplant using this recipe. I had all the products at hand. I only replaced fresh ginger with ground one. Peeled the sweet pepper, cut into strips and fried until crusty. Remove the skin from the eggplant, add salt and fry until soft. Combined vegetables in a saucepan. I prepared the sauce in the same pan. First I fried the garlic slices, then added honey, soy sauce and starch. Then I diluted it with water as described in the recipe. From the spices I put ground coriander and ground ginger, freshly ground pepper. Simmer the vegetables in the sauce for about 5 minutes, stirring. The aroma was excellent. The Chinese sweet eggplants turned out great. The vegetables were cooked well and were soft and savory in taste. The sauce thickened and complemented the vegetables perfectly. This sauce tastes divine. We gobbled it all up at once, it turned out too delicious. Original, appetizing and beautiful. You can also serve it on the holiday table) Wonderful recipe!
