    How to make carp with potatoes in the oven? Prepare your food. It is advisable to take fresh carp. If you have frozen, defrost it in advance. Rinse the carp well, remove scales - I have a mirror carp, it has few scales, they are very large, easy to clean. Gut the fish, remove the gills.

    Now prepare the potatoes - you want them to be half-cooked by the time you start cooking the fish. Therefore, peel it (you can simply rinse the new potatoes well with a brush and leave the peel), cut into large cubes and cook until half cooked - I did this in the microwave. Add salt and pour sunflower oil, mix well. While the potatoes are cooking, take care of the carp.

    Peel the onion and garlic. Cut the onion into rings and just cut the garlic in half. Make cross cuts along the top surface of the fish - for beauty and better roasting. In addition, carp has small bones and this way we make them less invisible. Rub the outside and inside of the carp with salt. Place onion rings, garlic, and lemon slices into its belly. Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil.

    Place the stuffed carp on a baking sheet. Decorate the fish with lemon slices on top, brush with mayonnaise (or sour cream if you don’t like mayonnaise). Place half-cooked potatoes around the edges. Cover the baking sheet with oiled foil to prevent it from sticking to the fish. Bake at 180 degrees for about 1 hour, 20 minutes before the end, remove the foil and brown the fish and side dish under the grill or turn on convection. Determine the time according to your oven.

It really was a simple fish, but it turned into gold! Carp with potatoes and lemon in the oven turned out simply fabulous in both taste and appearance. I like to prepare dinners like this, everything is baked in one pan and can be served immediately. The author recommends bringing the potatoes until half cooked in the microwave. I did so. I had young potatoes, I washed them well, dried them, and cut them into discs. Then I salted it and added a little dill for flavor. The potatoes were cooked in the microwave for 5 minutes at 750 W. Then I put it in a greased pan and chopped it on top. I coated the fish not with mayonnaise, but with sour cream mixed with mustard. I filled it with onions and lemon, and instead of regular garlic I added garlic arrows. They flavor well and are very tasty! Simply a gorgeous dish! Very tasty fish and the side dish is simply excellent!
