  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make borscht with chicken, pampushki and garlic? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Wash the meat and cut it into portions or leave it as a whole piece, and after cooking, cut it into small pieces. Rinse again, add water in a saucepan and put on fire. When the broth boils, skim off the foam, add peppercorns and bay leaves, and cook the meat over medium heat. Meanwhile, prepare the vegetables for the borscht.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the potatoes in running water with a brush, peel, rinse and cut into cubes or in any other way you are familiar with.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Wash the beets in running water with a brush, peel, rinse and cut into thin strips or cubes.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Peel the onions and cut into cubes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Wash the carrots with a brush, peel, rinse and grate on a coarse grater.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Wash the white cabbage, remove the outer dry leaves and finely chop.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Pour vegetable oil into the frying pan. Turn on the heat, heat the oil. Fry the onions and carrots, stirring occasionally, over medium heat until the onions are translucent and the carrots are soft.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

After removing the bay leaf, add the potatoes to the pan with the meat and cook for about 5 minutes.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Add beets, white cabbage and fried carrots and onions to the broth. Add a couple of tablespoons of tomato paste and spices: salt and ground black pepper to taste. Cook the borscht over medium heat for 25 minutes.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Then turn off the heat, leave the borscht covered for 20-30 minutes.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

How to make dough for delicious garlic donuts? Pour water heated to 36 degrees into a bowl. Add a teaspoon of sugar and dry yeast to the water. Stir and leave for 5 - 10 minutes. A foamy cap should appear, if not, then you need to use other yeast. Next, add salt, vegetable oil and sifted wheat flour. Knead into an elastic, smooth dough. Perhaps it will take a little less or more flour.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Divide the dough into small pieces, roll them into balls slightly larger than a walnut. Place the dough balls into a mold greased with butter, leaving a small distance between them. The top of the donuts can be greased with vegetable oil if desired. Leave in a warm place while the oven preheats to 180 degrees.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Bake the donuts for about 20 minutes, until golden brown. The times indicated are approximate; be guided by the operating characteristics of your oven.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Meanwhile, peel the garlic cloves and grate them on a fine grater. Finely chop fresh dill or parsley. Rub hot donuts with cooked garlic and sprinkle with herbs. Quick homemade dumplings with garlic in the oven are ready.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

Pour the borscht into bowls and serve with donuts. It’s also good to serve sour cream with borscht. Bon appetit!

Borscht with donuts is the best food! But I cook the borscht itself with pork or beef, not so much with chicken. And a special thank you for the donut recipe. Tasty!

I found a recipe for borscht with garlic donuts on the website and decided to repeat it. I cook borscht often, but I’ve never made buns like this to go with it. The recipe calls for chicken, but I had a nice, fresh beef bone. I made broth from it, and trimmed the meat and put it in the soup. I cooked the broth for about two hours, so I started cooking in the morning to be in time for lunch. The potatoes were cut into large pieces. I chopped the onions and carrots in the usual way: diced the onions and grated the carrots on a coarse grater. Fry the onion until transparent. During this time, the carrots gave their color to the oil and the broth turned golden. True, then the tomatoes and beets painted it red). My cabbage is tough, so I put it in the pan along with the potatoes. I added a spoonful of sugar and lemon juice for taste and color. Dumplings are easy to make! After activating the yeast, I kneaded the dough, let it rise and divided it into 8 parts. Grease the lumps of dough with vegetable oil and bake until golden brown. I ground the garlic with dill and smeared the hot donuts with this aromatic mixture. Rich borscht with soft, slightly spicy donuts is just a wonderful lunch with the family!

I read the recipe and really wanted to make it, thank you very much. I usually cook it with pork and a little chicken, but this time I made it the other way around and it turned out so light and delicious. But especially thank you very much for the donuts, they are so delicious. Now I want to cook them often 😊👍. When the pampushki were ready, I did not grease them individually, but in a spacious pampushka bowl I added butter, crushed garlic and greens, covered it with a lid, shook it (as it should, harder) and left it. It seemed easier to me than lubricating each one (they are hot). They brewed and we liked them so much, thank you very much 😊 💐💐💐🙏 I took a photo of the borscht, but didn’t have time for the donuts
