Salad with arugula
The herbaceous green plant arugula (arugula, eruca, caterpillar, indau), as a bright representative of the cabbage family, is especially loved by adherents of healthy nutrition. For its taste, lightness, ease of digestibility, benefits, rich composition of everything the body needs. Therefore, arugula salad recipes are always in the spotlight. And therefore, choosing the right one among them is quite easy.
Very often they like to combine arugula in salads with cherry tomatoes, pine nuts, and soft white cheese. In fact, in our country this composition is considered classic and most common. Of course, it can be supplemented and adjusted with other products. For example: fresh cucumbers, olives, shrimp, mussels, mushrooms, onions, canned fish, boiled eggs, avocados, crackers, chips, apples, pears, grapes, sorrel, spinach, lettuce, radishes, Chinese cabbage, beets, pumpkin, citrus fruits, sesame seeds and so on.
Sometimes, along with arugula, unusual salad products (for Russia, at least) like persimmons, figs, mangoes, peaches, and apricots are also added to the salad.
Vegetables baked in the oven or fried in a grill pan feel very good with these greens: zucchini, eggplant, bell peppers, sun-dried tomatoes. A salad with arugula and prosciutto or fillet of commercial red fish looks elegant and rich.
There are very few in the list of these salads where mayonnaise is added. Typically, a salad with arugula is seasoned with vegetable oil or a mixture of it with vinegar (table, grape, apple, balsamic) with a mixture of peppers and Italian seasonings.
Not because the tastes do not combine, but because among those who adhere to PP there are almost no lovers of mayonnaise, especially classic ones.
