What to cook from frozen mushrooms? You can prepare any mushroom dish from frozen mushrooms. The only condition: the product must be defrosted correctly. How to do it

Frozen mushroom dishes

Frozen mushrooms are suitable for recipes for all dishes that require heat treatment. They can be fried, boiled, baked in the oven, either separately or with other ingredients. They can be used to fill pies and pies, prepare casseroles and omelettes.

The best thing to do with frozen mushrooms is to fry them. The process will release a lot of moisture, which will quickly evaporate from the pan. It is not necessary to defrost the product before cooking. With already fried mushrooms, you can cook any dish you want: first, second, baked goods, and so on.

If boiled mushrooms were frozen (most often this happens), they can be safely used for soups of any kind, including cream, puree or cabbage soup. In this case, the mushrooms are added last to the pot of boiling water. It is also not necessary to defrost them.

To prepare a roast or casserole, where the proportions of dry and wet ingredients are important, the frozen product must be thawed and excess liquid removed. This can be done slowly at room temperature - just leave them in a suitable container, then drain the water. You can use the microwave in the “defrost” mode; this method is the fastest. Again, if you plan to fry the mushrooms before adding them to the filling, there is no need to defrost them.

Important! After defrosting, mushrooms cannot be frozen again!
