Zucchini with soy sauce and garlic in a frying pan

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make zucchini with soy sauce and garlic in a frying pan? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Choose young zucchini with a delicate thin skin.
STEP 2

Wash the zucchini in running water and dry with paper towels. If you use mature zucchini, you need to peel it from the rough skin and remove the seeds (the process of frying a mature vegetable will take a little longer). Cut the zucchini into medium-sized pieces. Peel the garlic and rinse under running water.
STEP 3

Prepare the dressing. To do this, add garlic to the soy sauce, which must first be passed through a press or garlic press; you can also chop it by hand as finely as possible. Add sugar, salt and starch to the sauce (adjust the amount of sugar and salt to your taste; soy sauce is already quite salty, so it is quite possible that you will completely exclude salt from the list of ingredients). Mix everything very well.
STEP 4

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the zucchini over high heat. Do not forget to constantly stir the cubes so that they do not burn. Fry until the sides are browned, this took me about four to five minutes. For how to choose a frying pan and oil for frying, read the separate articles at the end of this recipe.
STEP 5

Stir the finished dressing again, as the starch may settle to the bottom during this time. Pour the soy sauce into the frying pan with the zucchini, while constantly stirring the zucchini so that the sauce does not form a lump and is evenly distributed over all the cubes. Be careful, there may be a lot of oil splatter at this stage, don't get burned! Cook for literally 10-15 seconds. Remove the pan from the heat and cool the zucchini.
STEP 6

Sprinkle the finished quick fried zucchini in soy sauce with garlic with finely chopped herbs, allspice and sesame seeds if desired. You can use ground chili pepper if you like it spicy. Serve to the table!
