STEP 1
Let's prepare the ingredients for the dough.

Add yeast and sugar to warm milk and mix everything.
STEP 3
Add the egg, vanilla and melted butter.
STEP 4
Sift the flour with salt and add to the milk mixture. Mix the dough.
STEP 5
Roll the dough into a ball, put it in a bowl and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
STEP 6
Let's start with the filling.
STEP 7
Peel the apples and cut into arbitrary pieces.
STEP 8
Melt butter in a frying pan, add apples, sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice. Stir and simmer the apples until soft. Just don’t overcook so that the apples don’t lose their shape.

Take out the risen dough and knead it.
STEP 10
Divide the dough into arbitrary pieces (depending on the size of the pies you want to get). Roll out a piece of dough into a rectangle. Place the filling in the center and cut the sides of the dough into strips (see photo).
STEP 11
Alternately interweaving the strips of dough, we form a pigtail. We do this with all the dough.
STEP 12
Leave the finished braids in a warm place for 20-30 minutes to rise. Grease the suitable braids with egg and bake in an oven preheated to 180 C for about 20 minutes.
STEP 13
Let the finished braids cool.
