  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to braise a turkey thigh in a slow cooker? Prepare all the necessary products. Vegetables can be varied to suit your taste. I took the most affordable ones, which can be found in almost any refrigerator. Rinse the turkey thigh under running water and pat dry with paper towels to remove any remaining moisture.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Remove the skin from the thigh and cut out the bone. The bone can later be used to prepare broth. Cut the thigh fillet into medium-sized pieces.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl. Set the "Fry" mode. Place the pieces of meat in the slow cooker and fry for a while.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Stir the turkey occasionally to prevent anything from burning. Cook for about 10-15 minutes until golden brown.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Peel the onions, carrots and garlic. Use the amount of garlic to taste. Wash all vegetables in cold water. Cut the bell peppers into two parts and remove the seeds and core. You can peel the tomatoes.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Cut tomatoes, onions, carrots, garlic and peppers into large pieces. If the pieces are made small, they will turn into porridge during the cooking process. I used cherry tomatoes instead of regular tomatoes.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Add onions, carrots and garlic to the meat, fry for about 5 minutes, stirring.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Pour tomatoes and peppers into the multicooker bowl. Add salt to taste and sprinkle with your favorite dry spices. I used ground paprika and Italian herbs. Mix everything and set the “Stew” mode in the multicooker.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Leave until all ingredients are ready. The cooking time will be set automatically, depending on the multicooker model and its power. My meat and vegetables took 1 hour to cook. After 10-15 minutes from the start of cooking, check if the turkey is burning. If necessary, add a small amount of boiling water (0.25-0.5 cup). If you are using juicy tomatoes, you usually do not need to add water.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Sprinkle the finished meat with finely chopped herbs, pepper as desired and serve. Delicious as a stand-alone dish.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Pairs perfectly with boiled pasta and cereals.
