Turkey cutlets in the oven

Healthy, dietary, for the whole family, for dinner and main course! Turkey cutlets baked in the oven are much healthier than fried in a frying pan - not a drop of oil is used during baking. The cutlets turn out soft, fluffy, very appetizing and tasty! Juiciness is achieved by adding grated zucchini.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to bake turkey cutlets in the oven? Prepare your ingredients. You can use either ready-made or homemade minced meat. If it was frozen, then defrost it first by transferring it from the freezer to the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. Choose young, small-sized zucchini - it is juicier and tastier. Instead of zucchini, you can use raw potatoes.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the zucchini, peel the skin; if the seeds are large, remove them. Grate the zucchini on a medium grater. You can grind it in a blender, after cutting it into cubes. If the zucchini is too juicy, you can squeeze it a little with your hands, but not too much, so that the cutlets retain their juiciness. Drain off the released juice.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Melt the butter using any of the methods described at the end of the recipe. Cool it down.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add squash, egg, melted butter, salt and pepper to ground turkey. Peel the garlic and pass through a press into the minced meat. Knead everything until smooth.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

If necessary, if the minced meat is too liquid, you can add 1-2 tbsp. l. semolina or breadcrumbs. I did so. How to choose semolina, read the article at the end of this recipe.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

After adding the semolina, knead the minced meat thoroughly again until smooth and leave for 20-25 minutes so that the semolina swells and absorbs excess moisture.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

With wet hands, form the minced meat into medium-sized cutlets of any shape, I made oblong ones. Cover a baking sheet with foil and grease it with vegetable oil. Place the cutlets on it at a short distance from each other. Bake the cutlets in an oven preheated to 180°C for 30-40 minutes, until golden brown. Times are approximate. Read below for steps on how different ovens work. Remove the finished cutlets from the oven and serve with any side dish

The turkey was a little dry, but the zucchini added juiciness to the cutlets. Turkey also makes schnitzels that are delicious.

I have long wanted to cook turkey cutlets in the oven. After all, it is very healthy and nutritious! I made minced meat from 1 kg. turkey breast, accordingly increased the amount of other ingredients. Grind it in a blender. I took one egg for the whole mass. I decided not to grate the zucchini, but also to spin it in a blender. Along with it I put garlic and onions (I add it to all cutlets). I placed this mass in a small sieve and placed a weight on top. In about 10 minutes, all the juice is drained. The cutlet mince turned out thick but tender, the cutlets were easy to form. I got 30 pieces. Bake for 40 minutes, 5 minutes under the grill. The cutlets turned out soft and juicy thanks to the zucchini! They are very tasty, especially in combination with various sauces. Thanks for the recipe! I recommend!

Thanks for the recipe, the cutlets are incredibly tender and delicious! My father-in-law and my eldest daughter were running for more. For my youngest, 11 months old, I added zucchini and pumpkin, and surprisingly she ate the cutlets on both cheeks (she even refused puree). My husband will come home from work, I think he will like it too. P.S. This is my first experience of cooking cutlets in the oven and the oven is new, so I overcooked it and the cutlets turned out a little dry. I’m already making the second batch out of my mind).

Making juicy turkey cutlets is not easy. I have my own tried and tested recipe, but why not try a different way? On the author’s advice, I added a small zucchini, chopped in a blender, half a sweet pepper and medium-sized potatoes to the minced meat. I put the zucchini on a sieve to drain the liquid, but the minced meat still turned out runny. I had to add 2.5 tablespoons of semolina. For the sake of the experiment, some of the cutlets were immediately sent into the oven, and before baking, some were quickly fried over high heat until golden brown. The cutlets in my oven were ready in 25 minutes. It turned out tasty and appetizing, although not without some difficulties (I will practice more). The recipe is good, I will keep it in my piggy bank. Thanks to the author!
