Stewed chicken with potatoes in sour cream like in kindergarten

STEP 1
Prepare the ingredients according to the list.

Peel and wash the vegetables well.
STEP 3
Grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Cut the onion into small cubes.

Heat the oil in a saucepan or cauldron and fry the onions lightly until translucent.

Add grated carrots and simmer everything together.

Cut the chicken into large pieces. You can use thighs, wings or breast, as in the recipe. It is better to make chicken pieces in portions - this way the meat will be juicier.

place chicken pieces on top of prepared onion and carrot dressing.
STEP 8
Add diced potatoes. Add water until it reaches the surface. Cook over medium heat until the potatoes are half cooked.
STEP 9
Add sour cream, stir the contents of the saucepan.
STEP 10
Salt, add bay leaf and any spices.
STEP 11
Lubricate the surface of the potatoes with mayonnaise (I think this is not necessary, since the special role of mayonnaise in the dish is not noticeable). Simmer until done. IN

The finished dish can be used as a whole lunch - both as a soup and as a main dish together. If you add less water, you will get a thick second course. Choose an option to suit your taste.
