    How to steam cutlets in a slow cooker? Prepare all the necessary products. Peel the onions and garlic. You can use ready-made minced meat, or make it yourself from any meat fillet. Rinse vegetables and meat well in water, then dry with paper towels before cutting and rolling. Butter should be at room temperature.

    Both store-bought and homemade white bread are suitable for cutlets. If the bread has a soft crust, you can crumble the pulp along with it. Place the bread in a deep bowl and pour milk on top. Stir with a spoon.

    Cut the onion into small cubes. Squeeze the garlic through a press, or finely grate it. You can also pound it in a mortar or crush it with a knife on a board.

    Transfer the minced meat to a large plate. Add chopped vegetables, stir the whole mass with a spoon.

    Chop the softened butter into pieces and add to the minced meat along with the soggy bread. Stir the minced meat until smooth. If you are unsure about adding oil, you can skip this step. It’s just that the cutlets with it turn out more tender, rich and soft. By the way, oil can be replaced with fat.

    Now add salt and spices to taste into the minced meat. Beat a raw egg into it. Mix the minced meat with your hands until you obtain a homogeneous consistency.

Somehow it happened that I had never tried steamed cutlets in my life. I decided to correct the culinary gap. I liked all the ingredients proposed by the author, I agree that butter is really not an extra ingredient here, now I will definitely add it to the minced meat. But the taste of the finished dish did not impress enough to give the recipe the highest score. I realized that my preferences remained on the side of fried cutlets or baked in the oven.

I prepared steamed minced meat cutlets in a slow cooker according to this recipe. I used homemade minced chicken and pork. The loaf, having cut off the crust, was soaked in milk. Chopped onion and garlic. Mixed the minced meat with the loaf, onion and egg. From the spices I added salt and ground coriander. At the end, add pieces of butter and stir. I made cutlets and rolled them in breadcrumbs. Cooked in a slow cooker in the “steam” mode for 30 minutes. They turned out wonderful cutlets. They are very aromatic, appetizing and juicy. The cutlets inside are tender and soft, loose and airy, with a creamy taste. I served steamed cutlets with boiled buckwheat for dinner. The child and husband ate with pleasure. Wonderful recipe.
