Steaks and Potatoes Baked on Charcoal on the Grill
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

For this recipe, you need to select potatoes and steaks of approximately the same size. This is necessary for even baking. To begin, cut the potatoes into two equal parts.

Cut the lard or brisket into thin layers.
STEP 3

Cut the onion into rings.
STEP 4

Wrap the potatoes in foil, inside which you need to put layers of brisket and onions. At the same time, do not forget to add pepper and salt. Dill or parsley fit perfectly into these layers. But if you don’t have this greenery on hand, you can replace it with fennel.
STEP 5

To coat meat with spices, mix fennel, paprika, black pepper, and salt together in a bowl, adding olive oil.
STEP 6

Rub the steaks with the resulting mixture and wrap them in several layers of foil so that the juices do not leak out. Add rosemary to each wrapped piece of meat to add spice.
STEP 7

Place the prepared ingredients in foil evenly in the coals so that the contact with the coals is equal. It will take about half an hour to cook the potatoes, and about twenty minutes for the meat. It is convenient to check the readiness of potatoes by piercing a knife.
STEP 8
