Pork steak
To prepare a delicious pork steak, you should first take care of purchasing that “right” piece of meat. It should not be hard, weathered, old, oversaturated with fatty layers, films and veins. It has also been repeatedly verified in practice that steak from a pig is much tastier and softer than from a boar, this is worth keeping in mind.
Although it is entirely within our power to “correct” excessively tough meat a little. To do this, you can either beat it lightly with a kitchen hammer. Or marinate for at least half an hour (or better yet, more). Or simply coat the meat with vegetable oil, sour cream or mayonnaise, letting it sit for about twenty minutes.
The classic recipe for cooking pork steak is to grill it. A standard grill pan, a convection oven, a grill oven or a microwave with this function will do. In addition, the characteristic stripes or lattice on the surface of the meat steak look aesthetically pleasing and festive. So a pork steak made in this way can be served on your favorite holidays, delighting your guests.
The most important secret of cooking any steak is that it must be made in one piece. This is the one we bought, and this is what we are preparing. We do not cut into pieces, unless you can trim along the edge, especially if there is skin or a wide layer of fat. If a steak is purchased on the bone, then the bone, in the best traditions of culinary art, should also be on the meat during the cooking process. This steak has its own charm, and many meat eaters love this dish with the bone.
Then, on the plate, each eater cuts the served steak into small pieces or plates, as he likes best. You can serve fried or baked pork steak with any sour, sweet, sweet and sour, or hot sauce, either store-bought or home-made.
Helpful Tips:• Meat should be at room temperature before cooking.• Steak pieces should be of uniform thickness to cook properly and evenly.• Unlike traditional beef, pork requires a deep sear.• To cook pork steaks successfully, it is best to choose a heavy-bottomed skillet .
