Pork steak in a frying pan with black pepper
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
Let's prepare the ingredients for the dish. In order not to overpower the natural taste of the meat, it is better to use only salt and ground black pepper as seasoning. Those who like meat with a spicier taste can add ground red pepper.
STEP 2
Steak is best made from fresh pork tenderloin. The meat should be at room temperature so that the steak is thoroughly cooked inside. Therefore, if it was frozen, let it defrost under natural conditions. Cut a piece of pork into plates no more than 3 centimeters thick. We wash the steaks and dry them with paper towels. Pour some vegetable oil into the frying pan. Turn on the fire.
STEP 3
Rub the pork with spices on both sides. If the meat is greased with vegetable oil, then it is not necessary to pour additional oil into the pan. For frying steaks, we use a cast iron or thick-bottomed pan. Heat the pan until hot. Place pork on it. Fry a piece of meat on one side until golden brown. Fry the steak over high heat for literally 3 minutes, then turn it over and fry on the second side until golden brown.
STEP 4
Boiling oil splashes a lot during frying, so you need to be very careful not to get burned. There is no need to pierce a piece of meat with a fork or knife right away so that the juice does not leak out, but remains inside, then the steak will turn out juicy. Reduce heat to medium. To prevent the meat from burning, you can add a little water to the pan. Cover the pan with a lid and keep the steak on the fire for about 15 minutes. Then turn the steak over and turn off the heat.
STEP 5
Leave the steak in the pan, covered, for another 15 minutes. The pork steak is ready. Serve it to the table, optionally with or without a side dish, with fresh or pickled vegetables and herbs. Bon appetit!
