  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make soft Viennese waffles in the oven in a silicone mold? Prepare your ingredients. Take the highest grade flour, milk - any fat content. Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance - we need it at room temperature. Wash raw eggs and dry with napkins. It's better if they are chilled.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

When the butter has thawed, rub it with sugar and vanilla sugar until smooth and creamy.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Add raw eggs to the butter mixture one at a time.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Each time, thoroughly beat the mixture with a mixer or blender until smooth.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Mix flour with baking powder and sift through a fine sieve. This will saturate it with oxygen, which will make the waffles more fluffy and tender. Add flour little by little to the egg-butter mixture and knead the dough. Please note that you may need more or less flour than I did. Focus on the consistency of the dough.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour milk into the dough little by little. Stir until smooth. The mass should be like rich sour cream, not very thick. Let the dough stand for 20 minutes at room temperature.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Grease waffle molds with butter. If you have an electric waffle iron, you can bake waffles directly in it. Unfortunately, I don’t have one, so I bake it in the oven.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Pour the batter into the waffle molds.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Bake the waffles for about 20-25 minutes at 190°C until they are browned on the bottom. Determine the exact baking time and temperature based on your oven. The finished waffles should easily come away from the walls of the pan.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Serve waffles with jam, sour cream, condensed milk, sweet cream, chocolate spread, syrup. I just melted some chocolate and poured it over the waffles from a pastry bag. Bon appetit!

I recently bought a silicone waffle mold. I decided to try making soft Viennese waffles in the oven in a silicone mold using this recipe. I prepared the dough quite quickly. Mixed butter and sugar, then added homemade eggs. Added flour and baking powder. At the end I poured in the milk and the dough was ready. It turned out runny, like sour cream. I greased the mold with oil. I baked the waffles for half an hour so that they were golden brown. My waffles came out of the silicone mold very easily. The aroma is magical! I served Viennese waffles with homemade apple and pear syrup. Everyone was delighted. The taste is indescribable! The waffles turned out soft, tender, sweet and very tasty. The child especially liked the waffles, he devoured them on both cheeks and even without syrup) next time I’ll try to make chocolate waffles, add cocoa) Many thanks to the author for the recipe!
