STEP 1
How to make a simple yogurt pie with apples in the oven? First, prepare the necessary ingredients. Take sweet and sour apples. Use premium flour. Melt the butter first and cool it. It will be no less tasty if you add soft butter at room temperature rather than melted butter to the dough. Take large, selected eggs.
STEP 2
In a bowl, combine yogurt, eggs, sugar and vanilla extract or flavoring. Take thicker yogurt, it can be natural, without additives, or it can be apple-flavored. To monitor how the eggs are beaten, it is better to first beat the eggs with sugar, and then add yogurt and vanilla.
STEP 3
Beat everything with a mixer until fluffy. Add melted or soft butter and stir.
STEP 4
Sift the flour with baking powder and add it to the dough in parts. You may need more or less flour depending on the consistency.
STEP 5
Make sure the dough is soft and flavorful.
STEP 6
Place the dough in a baking dish (Ø 20-22 cm) lined with parchment and greased with butter and smooth it out.
STEP 7
Wash the apples, peel and seed them and cut into medium slices.
STEP 8
Place the apples on top of the dough. If you wish, you can cut some of the apples into small cubes and mix them into the dough, and arrange the remaining ones into slices on top of the dough.
STEP 9
Sprinkle cinnamon on top of apples. Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 40 minutes. The exact baking time depends on your oven. Therefore, make sure that the pie does not burn, but is baked inside. Check doneness with a skewer - it should come out dry.
STEP 10
Remove the finished pie from the oven and cut into pieces. It turns out a little moist inside - after all, the dough contains yogurt and melted butter, so you shouldn’t expect a porous charlotte structure from this pie. But the pie turns out soft, juicy inside due to the apples and aromatic thanks to the vanilla flavoring. Bon appetit!
