Sausages with cheese in dough in the oven

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make sausages with cheese in yeast dough in the oven? Prepare your food. For the dough, remove the eggs from the refrigerator in advance to keep them warm - dough made from room temperature foods rises better during proofing and baking. Milk and butter will be heated separately; there is no need to take them out. If you are short on time, keep the eggs in warm water.
STEP 2

Heat the milk until warm - it should become noticeably warm, but not hot, as a hot environment will kill living yeast. Add sugar and yeast to milk. Stir and leave to stand on the counter for 10-15 minutes until a “cap” of bubbles forms. This will mean that the yeast has activated and is ready to work. Otherwise you will have to replace them.
STEP 3

While the yeast is waking up, sift the flour into a deep bowl. Add salt to it, beat in the eggs, set aside one yolk. It is important to sift the flour to saturate it with oxygen. Then the baked goods will turn out airy and rise well during baking. Mix flour with eggs.
STEP 4

Pour in the risen dough and mix everything again with a fork.
STEP 5

Melt the butter in any way you like. Cool slightly until warm and pour into a bowl of flour. Knead the dough first with a fork, then with your hands.
STEP 6

If necessary, add flour - look at the dough, it should stop sticking to your hands. But do not overdo it - the dough, filled with flour, will become tough when baking. If you knead for a long time, the dough will stop being sticky on its own, be patient. Gather the finished dough into a ball, place in a bowl and cover with a towel.
STEP 7

Leave it to stand in a warm place for 1 hour. I left it right on the table, the main thing is that there are no drafts and the house is not cold. During this time the dough will double in size.
STEP 8

Place it on the table and divide into 8 equal parts. The pieces will turn out the same if you first divide the dough in half, then each half into two more halves, then each part in half again. Round the resulting pieces by rolling them under your palm on the table.
STEP 9

Roll each ball into a circle slightly larger than a sausage. It will be 3-5 mm thick. Cut the cheese into thin slices. It will be more convenient to use ready-made cuts - I cut each square into 2 parts. Wrap the sausage in cheese and place it in the center of the circle. Using a knife, make symmetrical cuts on both sides from the edge to the sausage.
STEP 10

Wrap the sausage by placing the cut strips of dough on top of each other, alternating left and right sides.
STEP 11

Place the resulting pieces on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Leave the sausages to stand for 15 minutes. Then brush the top of the dough with the reserved yolk using a pastry brush. Stir the yolk with a fork before doing this.
STEP 12

Bake the sausages in the dough in the oven, preheated to 180°C, for about 20 minutes. Look at your oven and its appearance - the dough should be browned. Remove the sausages from the oven and serve after cooling slightly.
STEP 13

Sausages with cheese in yeast dough in the oven are ready. Bon appetit!
