Salad with broccoli and shrimp

Healthy and incredibly tasty - treat yourself to a light salad! A very simple salad recipe. The salad has a light and fresh taste. If desired, you can use crab sticks or ham instead of shrimp. Also, this salad can be served as an appetizer, just cut all the products into large pieces, place them on a platter, and place a bowl with mayonnaise in the center, you can add a clove of garlic to it, each guest can choose the ingredient to their liking and dip it in the sauce, It will also turn out very tasty and bright! This appetizer is especially suitable for fried (baked) meat, such as chicken wings or ribs.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

    Ingredients

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Cut the broccoli into florets and boil in salted boiling water for about 3 minutes.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Place the boiled broccoli on a sieve and dip it in ice water (this way our cabbage will not lose its color)

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

We also boil (defrost) the shrimp in boiling water for about 2 minutes, and also place them in a sieve.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Cut the pepper into strips or any other arbitrary shape

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

We clean the shrimp (do not forget that on the back of the shrimp there is an esophagus that needs to be removed) and cut into pieces. If desired, you can chop the broccoli into even smaller pieces. Mix everything, you can add a little salt and pepper (but don’t forget that our mayonnaise is salty). Since I made the salad in portions, I added mayonnaise directly to each bowl. Bon appetit!

Irisha, you showed me a recipe for a very healthy dish. I think it can be taken into the category of separate power supply, as Shura likes. Or am I not right? We also have broccoli on sale and even saw Brussels sprouts. But I haven’t bought them myself yet and I can’t even imagine their taste. Broccoli looks similar to cauliflower. Well, I'll have to take it and try it. Well, your beautifully presented recipe will help me in this matter. Thanks for the recipe.

Anait, as for me, is colored and broccoli is only different in color, the taste is very similar. The main thing is to choose one that is not overripe; unfortunately, mine was just slightly overripe, but this did not affect the taste :)

Irish, wonderful photos, very appetizing! Anait, try it, buy some broccoli. For me, it tastes completely different than the usual colored one (and Romanesco, such a salad green, is the third flavor shade, closer to broccoli). There are dishes where it doesn’t matter what kind of cabbage, but you always have to try it. My husband can eat cauliflower with just oil and salt, but green ones turn his nose up. From old memory (I didn’t check, I’m just taking it out of my head), broccoli is healthier in composition than regular cauliflower (Romanesco is definitely healthier).

I liked the appearance of all the components of the products, the salad looks bright, fresh and not hackneyed, broccoli is the option when it makes the salad look like it was just prepared. Yes, Anahit, this is just right for separate meals, just replace the mayonnaise with sour cream or oil dressing. Shrimp go well with vegetables, Irisha showed us impeccable taste, and clear glass salad bowls really set off our salad!

Anait, there are definitely recipes that contain both types of cabbage! Be sure to try it. Broccoli soup is simply brilliant. Yes, with croutons that you make yourself... Mmmm... I don’t run to cook just because I don’t have broccoli on hand. This variety of cabbage tastes well with shrimp and boiled ham, I can confirm this from my own experience.
