Step-by-step preparation

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

We set the potatoes and carrots to boil; there is no need to peel them - just wash them. Wash and cook the eggs too. After the eggs and vegetables are ready, wait for them to cool. Peel the carrots and potatoes, remove the shells from the eggs.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Cut the potatoes into small cubes and place in a bowl.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

We also cut the carrots into cubes and add them to the chopped potatoes.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Take peeled eggs. Leave the yolks for later, and finely chop the whites.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Wash the cucumber, peel it and cut it into cubes like other vegetables.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Cut the sausages (or boiled sausage) into slightly larger cubes.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Add mayonnaise to the bowl. It is important not to overdo it - add it strictly according to the recipe, otherwise the salad will not be able to hold the shape of a rooster and will spread out.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Mix the contents of the bowl. Add salt if necessary.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Take a nice flat plate, large enough. On its surface we form the future cockerel from the resulting salad.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Three yolks on a fine grater and sprinkle the cockerel with it.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Now let's move on to decorating the salad. From the tomato we cut out the comb, beard and beak of the cockerel. Sweet peas would look great as an eye.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

From the remaining tomato, bell pepper and fresh herbs we form the wing and tail.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

The rest of the greens will go to the grass under the cockerel. All is ready!
