Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to bake a puff pastry roll with minced meat in the oven? Prepare all the ingredients. How to make puff pastry? Remove the butter from the refrigerator; it should soften. Pour warm water (about 30 degrees) into a bowl. Add sugar, salt, beat in a chicken egg and stir until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Pour in the vinegar and mix well again. Wash the egg with soda first; there may be harmful bacteria on its surface.
STEP 2

Add wheat flour sifted through a sieve or using a special mug to the bowl with the mixture. Pour it into the liquid part in parts, mixing the dough well each time. You may need less or more flour, depending on its properties.
STEP 3

The consistency of the dough should be smooth and elastic.
STEP 4

Divide the dough into four parts, roll each of them into a rectangular layer no more than 0.5 cm thick. Also divide the butter into 4 parts.
STEP 5

Grease each rolled out layer of dough with a piece of butter and place them one on top of the other.
STEP 6

Roll the dough into an envelope, roll it out again with a rolling pin, and roll it up again into an envelope. Wrap the dough in cling film and put it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. If you wish, you can save your time and take ready-made puff pastry.
STEP 7

In the meantime, prepare the filling. Take minced meat. I recommend using a mixed one, for example, pork and beef, to make the filling more juicy and tasty. You can use ready-made minced meat or grind it yourself in a meat grinder from fresh, high-quality meat.
STEP 8

Take the onion, peel it, cut it into small cubes. Place the onion in a bowl with minced meat, add salt and ground black pepper to taste, mix thoroughly. Pour vegetable oil into the frying pan. Heat it over the fire, add the minced meat and onions and fry until tender over medium heat, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes. You can add your favorite spices.
STEP 9

Roll out the dough into a rectangular layer. Spread the minced meat filling evenly over it.
STEP 10

Roll the dough into a roll.
STEP 11

Place the roll, seam side down, in a greased pan or on a greased baking tray. Brush the top of the roll with a beaten chicken egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired. Bake the roll in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 30 minutes. Until golden brown. Baking times are approximate; be guided by the operating characteristics of your oven.
STEP 12

Let the finished roll cool slightly, cut it into portions and serve. Bon appetit!
