Ptiti with chicken and vegetables

A bright and tasty lunch for the whole family in 30 minutes. The dish turns out very tasty and satisfying. You can take any vegetables to your taste, the most important thing is not to overcook them so that they do not turn into porridge. By the way, you can boil the poultry separately (you need to cook it in a large amount of salted water, like regular pasta, and then put it in a sieve), and add it to the vegetables when it’s ready, so you definitely won’t overcook anything. Help yourself!

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

    Ingredients

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

First, cut the onion, carrots and celery into medium cubes.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the chopped vegetables for a few minutes. If desired, you can add a small (about 10 -15 g) piece of butter.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Finely chop the garlic, cut the bell pepper into small cubes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add pepper and garlic to the pan, fry for another 2-3 minutes.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Cut the chicken fillet into small pieces and add to the pan.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Fry the mixture for 3-4 minutes until the fillet pieces are set. Add salt and pepper, you can also add your favorite spices if you wish (I added paprika).

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Cut the cherry into halves. Instead of cherry tomatoes, you can safely use regular tomatoes, but first you need to peel them and cut them into cubes.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Add the cherry tomatoes to the pan and sprinkle the petit on top.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Pour in water (or broth), it should completely cover the poultry.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Cook until all the water is absorbed. If desired, add chopped herbs (I used parsley). The dish is ready, you can serve.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

    Bon appetit!

Irisha, thank you for the wonderful recipe for ptitim with couscous, everything turned out very beautifully. I always like chicken combined with something rice, with any sauces, but here there is such a luxurious variety!
