  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make a pie with minced meat and potatoes? Prepare the necessary ingredients for the dough

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Sift the flour and mix with sugar, salt and yeast. Please note that more or less flour may be needed. Focus on the consistency of the dough. It should be smooth and elastic.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour in warm water and stir.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add vegetable oil and knead the dough.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Knead for about 10 minutes, a well-kneaded dough will be smooth, even and elastic.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Leave the dough in a warm place for about 1 hour, it will approximately double in volume.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

When the dough has almost risen, prepare the filling. Here are the necessary ingredients for it

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Cut the onion and potatoes into cubes.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Combine the minced meat with onion, salt and pepper.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

    Mix well.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

When the dough has risen well, punch it down and divide it into two unequal parts.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Roll out most of it, place it on a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil; to be on the safe side, I usually use baking paper - this way the cake will definitely not stick to the baking sheet. Place potatoes on top and add a little salt.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Then add the minced meat and onions.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Cover with the second half of the dough, which you also first roll out.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

    Pinch the edges nicely.

  16. STEP 16

    STEP 16

    Brush the top with egg.

  17. STEP 17

    STEP 17

Bake the pie at 180 degrees for 1 hour. Keep in mind that everyone's oven is different. Cooking temperatures and times may differ from those indicated in the recipe.

    Bon appetit!

I prepare this pie with potatoes and minced meat according to this recipe. For juiciness, I add sour cream to the filling.

Today for lunch I am making a pie with minced meat and potatoes. I love it when there is a lot of filling and less dough. Therefore, I don’t put a layer of dough down, but put the filling and a layer of dough on top. For the dough, I dissolved yeast, sugar and salt in warm water, added flour and vegetable oil, and kneaded the dough. Despite the fact that the dough is made only with water, it turns out elastic, smooth and elastic, and soft when baked. For the filling, I cut the potatoes into strips, added minced turkey, mixed with salt and pepper, we are not fans of onions, so I don’t put them in this pie. I put the filling in a mold, covered the top with a layer of dough rolled out into a circle, decorated it with figures cut out from the same dough, and put it in the oven over low heat. Bake for about 50 minutes. Grease the finished pie with vegetable oil and cut into portions. This pie is very tasty washed down with cold country milk. I recommend the recipe.

Cool, thanks for the recipe, but I used less flour. I liked the thin soft crispy dough, the filling was baked perfectly, the children and husband rated it excellent 👍🏻
